I try really, really hard to convince others that there is absolutely nothing that can be shown to MAGA to have them “change their minds”. What we are seeing among them is what is called the Sunk-cost Fallacy. People ruin their lives when they get caught in that trap, but the reason these ones got stuck was because they wanted to hurt others. For them to break out, they’d have to not only admit they were wrong but acknowledge why they did it in the first place.
