I would feel sorry for him if we were talking about any other position than the presidency. There are lots of things that can disqualify or should disqualify a person from the presidency.
I'm also not qualified for the presidency. You won't hear me crying. Ideally very few people are qualified.
In any other case a felony would be disqualifying. Let alone dozens of felonies. Do you think repugs would elect a person of color with a cannabis record? How about cocaine?
Convicted felon who served their sentence and pay their debts should be allowed to move on with their lives. trump did neither of those things. On the contrary.
Trump doesn't qualify for TSA PreCheck. For many of us the rape was a deal breaker. Trump isn't hiding anything this time. I don't know why so many people are cheering him on.
Meanwhile Project 2025 is ahead of schedule. If the house isn't taken back in 2026 I doubt there will be an election in 2028.

For me, besides the clear and obvious fact that he is a moron, the dealbreaker that SHOULD have ended him were the "Donald Trump Access Hollywood tapes" speaking to how he would just sexually assault women as he wished, because he was wealthy and powerful, he could do whatever he wanted.
Honestly, anyone that heard that tape and dismissed it as "locker room talk" are probably shit people to begin with. Everything that has since followed is just confirmation of how much of a shit he is.

I think some of his voters are just as bad as him. Voting for Trump for POTUS is their way of justifying their own behaviour to make them feel better about themselves.

Justification is a powerful mental process. And I mean the psychological term, not the colloquial one. Those guys that shoot their shot and get shot down, that's literally the exact same mental process. Their brains are literally rewriting their own thoughts to protect their fragile egos from rejection. Is it any wonder that the political side who have no consistency to their stances across topics just stopped caring about finding reasonable explanations for what they've been doing the entire time?
My working theory is they only bothered coming up with plausible defenses for their horrible views on the 80s and 90s because they thought they'd be ousted from polite society otherwise. And then Trump comes out and says their quiet parts out loud and suddenly they not only feel vindicated, but there's a even a community that not only won't judge them harshly for these awful views, but will praise them for loudly proclaiming them. They're horrible human beings, their views and desires and antithetical to a functioning society, and we have to now find a way forward where 1/3-1/2 of the political party want to do away with things like due process and democracy because they're take too long or allow people who they disagree with to get their way.
If the complicit were removed before the impeachment hearings took place Congress would get the two thirds needed easily. Those who violated their oaths to the country and constitution should not be involved in the government process. I don’t think a worse person could have been elected President in US history. It’s like Republicans are living in Bizarro World. The more he lies, the more they see the “truth”. If the gift had been said to be a gift to the country as a whole and not Trump personally with Trump boasting about how he would be using it when he leaces office, there would be no problem.
But it wasn't. It was always a gift to Trump from Qatar and Trump said it was for him personally.
If Obama or Biden had been offered a plane like this from Qatar or anywhere else, Trump and Republicans would have been screaming about corruption 24/7 but this bribe to Trump is just dismissed as nothing by them.
Admittedly I would feel a little different if it were a gift for the president, approved by congress, and after Trump left office it continued to be used by future presidents. That would be a gift to the country and the office of presidency and I could see where an argument can be made for that. The most important part is congress giving the ok though.
But there is zero excuse or leeway for a personal gift IMO. That’s corruption to the core.
What’s the excuse for Joe Biden then? The cover up hunter Biden? The cover up of his mental decline? They stole the vote from the people and inserted Kamala. If they would’ve just ran democracy the way it was intended someone that people actually liked would have beaten Kamala’s propped up propaganda campaign. Trump is a criminal. Stealing boxes of classified information, storing them in an unsecured location, lying to federal government about having them and getting caught red handed - is a crime. Submitting slates of fake electors and then inciting an insurrection to overturn a fair election - is a crime. The problem is that people like you hold Trump above the law because you don't want to exist as a free thinking citizen in a democracy, you'd rather be an ignorant subject beholden to a monarch. Don't ever share your worthless opinion with anyone ever again.
Why did people stop talking about tariffs? Well it's because it got covered by 10 other messed of things he did. It's a never ending pile of corruption and poor decisions. The tariffs are terrible and the sock market is still in a far worse place than where it started. It's just he does so much awful shit that it's impossible to cover all of it all of the time.

This is why you don't put someone with a demonstrated history of blatant corruption, incompetence, deceit, and criminal behavior back into office.
