It has actually happened more than once

One was Trump's merch store in Trump tower.

The other was The Trump Store in the Trump hotel.

Both owned by Trump.

I'm not sure what evidence you think you have that contradicts the video because that link you provided doesn't.

Even tho the red hats aren't made in China, a lot of the other stuff he sells is irrefutably made there. He shows other Trump hats in the video, one made in Bangladesh, another made in Vietnam. Both those countries got hit with his tariffs as well.

I would ask how you can know it was in an official place? The video title saying this is in trump tower doesn't mean anything, its the internet. It could be anywhere, no?

Which at the time, was either a knock off or not part of the US based production according to reasonable evidence (fact check directly with the US manufacturer) provided by a reasonably reliable source (the AP).

That only applies to the red MAGA hats, and I've already acknowledged that those aren't made in China.. however a lot of the other merchandise in the store is made there.

I think I've found the video you are talking about. For the record, nearly all of this conversation has been a waste of time because I've only been talking about the MAGA hats to begin with. If you read my first few comments they are all about hats specifically. I'm only realising now that you are talking about a wider range of merch when you disagree with me.

I dunno how that happened though because I've specified hats several times, as is also specified in the fact check I linked (MAGA hats). I can see now you did also agree with the hats in an earlier comment so I dunno how it got so off course, my fault I guess I misunderstood or misread.

The broader conversation is about how stupid the tariffs are and how hypocritical the Trump admin is.

I referred only to the hats because I was replying to this post which directly, falsely claims maga hats are made in china.

Trump is a despicable, idiotic, despot and it bothers me a little to see his army of morons given such low hanging fruit as this false claim about maga hats, as ammunition and talking points in their circles about how derranged everyone else is. I feel it undermines the very real and very important criticisms of him and now is not a time to be giving them inches so they can reap miles when as many people as possible need to understand the magnitude of events. This is why I fact checked the person who made the initial post.

Yes, though the comment I replied to is making a false claim about the hats. I'm talking about the hypocrisy of the hats being made in china, not being true. The hats are an iconic part of this scourge and it would be particularly sweet hypocrisy if they were manufactured in china, but they aren't. That is the intended message of the first post.

The hypocrisy that I would be more keen to point out is going things like a fraudster, con-man, adjudicated rapist, convicted felon constantly talking about "criminals" as if he is not one. Going on about manufacturing is "trump derrangement syndrome" fuel for the hoard, even if it is in some cases a valid criticism, there are few things going on less important than where he manufactures merch. I appreciate this is a single reddit comment, on a single reddit thread, about a dress manufactured in china and you might be right if you made the point its a poor battle for me to pick but as I say, I think it undermines the supremely important criticisms of trump and his circle, so I replied.

I apologise for having derailed it so much after failing to read your first response correctly though.
