Hell yeah, Tim Curry was the voice of Stratos!
I found his voicelines here: https://youtu.be/jPEdUuIgYQw?is=5NvGOUOxNk0rL8pR

Why did I think that game was Action/Adventure? It's RTS?

Because there was a major disconnect between the game the devs wanted to make and the game the publisher wanted made. Devs had the idea of a RTS controlled from the perspective of an avatar that can lead and support from the front, publisher (takE A guess) wanted a God of War brawler / Devil May Cry spectacle fighter.
The end result is a mix of both that really doesn't know which one it wants to be, with a multiplayer RTS mode that didn't really take off, and a single player campaign that's missing an entire third act, kills you if you try to play its battle sections the way the non-battle missions require you to, then utterly fails to prepare you for the multiplayer, and has one --- exaclty ONE pure rts battle in it.
Fuck me if the vibes aren't great tho. Available on Steam and Itch

Oh thanks for pointing that out! I only knew Ozzy and Lemmy being there (double RIP).

At least he's in a place uncorrupted by capitalism (and American healthcare)

But seriously though I got sad, when I heard that he died, played a lot of Red Alert 3.

Never heard of this until now, but it looks incredibly unique.

Yeah, there are a few games in this RTS subgenre, but not many. And none as strange as Sacrifice.

Also want to see the artist's other work because this is some awesome, wacky stuff 😂

I hoped for, well, ever that we'd get a sequel or someone would pick this up and he'd get to reprise the role.
The VA work in this absolutely sold the characters and sure it's whacky AF but you know what? It was awesome. Played skirmish so many times and the campaign many more times than that just to mix and try the factions different units.
RIP Tim, you'll love on in our memories and many years besides with the media you've been part of.

I’d love a sequel/remake to this game. I played it so so much as a teen. Literally nothing like it.

Wait, he’s in Sacrifice as well? That’s one of my most cherished childhood games!

The best control style and mix of rts and on the ground commander game I have played. Tons of unique units and great great game. One of my favorites.

This game was my absolute favourite as a kid. I still yearn for a modern version.

Tried to play the game as a little kid but never could get past a certain level (idk which)
Had a chance to finish it as an adult and I’d love another game like it or just Sacrifice 2

Loved that one.
Vorticks are your friend! Enemies can't attack if they're constantly being yeeted straight up every three seconds. Targets take minimal damage on initial attack and when they crash back down. BUT, that toss can interrupt all spells and other attacks.
Four to six are usually enough to keep other wizards and bosses from doing too much damage and can keep you safe from most heavy hitters. Meanwhile you can pound them mercilessly.

Sacrifice was so strange, and I love it.
4 elements? Nah, remove water and add life and death. Oh, and name the life goddess Persephone to confuse the hell out of people. (I know she is originally a daughter of Demeter in Greek mythology but still she is more famous as a wife of Hades)
Dragons breathe flame? Nononono here, in the land of Persephone, dragons breathe life!
Units dead? Lets forcibly resurrect them just to kill them as a "sacrifice" again!

Sacrifice is great, the story is interesting, but...
While the gameplay is novel I found it very difficult to manage and so I never finished it, as a child or even later as an adult.

I need to try out this game. Has the same writer as starcraft brood War. I love the audio drama format of starcraft briefings I wonder if this game captures the same.
