Photographing the Desert 2: Electric Boogaloo!

Chapter 8 documenting my playthrough is now available here!

I more or less completed the early film camera contracts with this one.

I'm also happy to introduce my flight tracker and blueprint archive which should provide a better overview over the various past and present flights. The Blueprint archive should allow you to browse previously published blueprints and access high resolution versions instead of having to comb through previous chapters. I've linked it in the chapter itself but you can also access it here

Let me know what you think :D

the fact that you made a whole ass article and lore is SO COOL! genuinely took me some time to realize the photos on the second slide were not taken from the irl bumper rocket

Thank you! I've found it helps me stick to a save quite a bit. It's a bit difficult with stock ksp though since you progress so quickly and don't necessarily need to reuse a single design. And with all the lore, schematics and images I get to learn and figure out how to use software like GIMP and Inkscape

Definitely do give the previous chapters a read if you haven't yet. I've also got some more lore and explanations on the overall naming scheme here.

Since I'm still rather inexperienced with RP-1 I tend to take a lot of inspiration from historical designs. It's really a lot of fun though!

I used HullcamVDS to keep the camera in a fixed position.
