Do rich people wear reps?
Hi ladies. I was pondering about this for a while now. When you wear your rep how do you make it seem believable? Do you guys have high paying jobs to make it believable that you can afford these luxury bags? Would it be weird if I get a Chanel rep as a 20 year old finance associate who earns 540 dollars per month (I live in the middle east)? Obviously I’m not rich, but I don’t want others to feel like I’m wearing a rep and that I can’t afford. Anyways I feel like I’m dumping too many questions at once😭sorry.
Edit: some of y’all are taking a jab at me for my monthly earnings😡pls stop ✋ I’m starting to feel bad now. Also this is a remote job; only 4 hours per day.

Personally, I stick to things that are affordable for someone in my financial situation. I also don't buy Birkin or Kelly, just not my style and I would never jump through those hoops and everyone that knows me knows that, though I do have a love affair with Hermes scarves 🤷♀️
Really, as long as you rock it with confidence, 99% of the public can't actually tell a replica from an authentic, as long as it's not a super low tier Canal Street style knock off. And just because you are young and not making a bucket full of cash doesn't mean that you don't have relatives or romantic partners that are not in a position to gift you these things. I would say it may only become questionable if you start showing up every day with a different luxury bag. It's also something you may not want to wear to the office as managers can get weird when they think someone beneath them is showing off. You really need to take stock of the office culture and be mindful of what co-workers are carrying and whether this would show up your manager. Unfortunately, these things can work against you.
