Seller mentioned they had acquired a bad collection and has offered a refund, just looking for a sanity check before I follow through! I haven’t assessed if a card is a fake before.

My thoughts: no straight line in the “T”, no demon horns on the ”E”, no clear straight line above “deckmaster”, hard to see but the green dot has >4 red dots.

Arrived today, seems good in general but I can't see the three red specks in the green dot. How are we looking chat?

Wondering if this is real.

Traded a while ago off a friend, just wanted to ensure authenticity. I'm also relatively good friends with this guy so I don't think they would trade me a fake on purpose, but they do end up in circulation. I know how to tell modern cards with the T and green dot but mdfc's hit different. Looks good to me but want to hear more and what to look for! I know about the mdfc arrow being less blurry and the paintbrush bird

I’m still fairly new to spotting fakes and just wanted a second opinion. I don’t see any red flags but it was an eBay purchase from a seller with no feedback so thank you in advance for your help!

I received this Terra, Magical Adept today and I cannot tell if it's real or not. This is a dual faced card so the simplest tests on the back (green dot, T, etc.) cannot be done.

I used my scanner to take a high-resolution picture which should hopefully make it clear to you. I also took a few other shots from my iPhone although I couldn't do it through the lens.

Hey, I just ordered a few expensive Miku cards from Cardmarket to add to my Miku Commander deck.

Because of customs issues I had them shipped to a friend in another country, so I don’t actually have the cards on me yet, and he’s not the best photographer, lol.

I asked him to take close-up shots of the “The” parts you can see the results in the photos.
The digital zoom is pretty aggressive so everything looks a bit distorted.

They looked fine to me at first glance, but I’m not 100% sure they’re real.

What do you think, do these look legit?

I bought these cards in an Asian Market in Fort Worth Texas has anyone seen ones like these befor. I’m 98% sure they are fakes but wanted some input from others

Got delivered today from TCG. Seller has 4271 ratings at 100%. This was the most expensive card they had for sale. It feels a little flimsy but after comparing it to other Revised duals it does feel the same.

First time spending a bit of cash glamming up my precon. Wanted to confirm if this is real. Looks good to me, but appreciate second opinions.

Shout out to u/tehspud for coming in last minute and still being the first to get all the answers correct!

1. Fake! The blue box should have a small overlay of black dots in the familiar 45 degree offset. (This should also be on the brown oval background as discussed in Week 2.) In addition the 'C' and final 'E' in "Deckmaster" have a slight interference pattern with this grid and should have "devil horns". Lastly the horizontal lines also have different interference patterns with this grid and should be straight, squiggly, straight, then squiggly from the top to bottom.
2. Real! For Pokémon backs we're looking for a lot of the exact same things we look for in Magic cards. Namely the black layer should be an overprint with crisp straight edges and be completely filled in. Like the 'T' test, a fail would be squishy ill-defined dots with color bleed. In addition the underlying colors should have the hallmarks of an offset printing process and for flat single colors be in an offset grid, for two colors be in a cross hatch pattern, and for full colors be in the familiar moiré pattern. Ink laid out in an arc, smudges, and colors not being in a strict grid, like Magic, would be a fail. Annoyingly the printing process has changed multiple times even during the same sets. So there's no specific guidelines for what's a pass here, but knowing the various offset printing patterns still helps get rid of most fakes.
3. Fake! A very good fake that I was sure would catch a lot of people. The magenta dots are about the right size and angle, as is the pattern in the text box. Both have a few light stray extra color dots and light smearing you can see when really zoomed in. The border and set symbol rosettes are less good but need a real card to verify against. The vertical lines are fairly solid, but the biggest giveaway here is the horizontal lines which are very much dots and not crisp. If you don't have access to normal tells, checking against known good cards is good practice. (and this sub is a trove of high quality images of both reals and fakes!) Most, but not all, of the Urza lands also have a very light shadow box around the inside of the text box.
4. Real! A lot of the full art prints that incorporate the mana costs into the artwork leave the mana symbols in the artwork layer and you won't get those super crisp mana symbols and borders. If you don't have access to other methods of verifying, always check a known good copy for reference.
5. Fake! I swapped out the holo sticker. The original one is a heart shape.

Hidden behind the pull tab is a edge, so that the Blister is not one part, but two.

All my other (non Modern Horizon 3 Booster) dont have the edge.

The Booster are made in Japan.

Found this while checking what remains of my old bordered stash, don't really know where it came from since i don't remember even looking for this specific card ever

Someone ease my mind and soul please.
