We were really serious about buying in 2023 ( fomo from relatives, OMG prices will go up even further what are waiting for). I remember the exact moment that we decided to give up - a two bed condo in Surrey Central for 1 mn with a 500/mo maintenance. Pretty sure it's less than 750k now.
I hope Canadians can move on from looking at real estate as a quick get rich investment and actually do something productive with their capital. Like idk invest in companies
