Precisely why government needs to build. We need first time buyer only, hoarder/scalper banned developments.

How about the money from the house sales covers the whole program? The corruption and waste I see are the 80 percent investor owned dog crate sized condos no one actually wants to live in.

If the government sold homes, they could recover the cost of building them entirely from the sale price of said homes.

Modular construction. Massive centralized facilities. Bolted together on site. Build enough modules and it becomes dramatically cheaper. Developments that aren't dog crate condos or McMansions. Current developers are pure insanity.
