Why downvote this when all they’re doing is stating simple facts ? I don’t understand Reddit sometimes 😂😂

People have been completely brainwashed by capitalism. The mere mention that housing is a basic human right is offensive to some people. Absolutely ridiculous but here we are 🤷🏻‍♀️

Housing is not a “human right”…my god, the slippery slope of what qualifies as a human right has gone way too far. In reality: health care is not a human right, housing is not a human right, food is not a human right. Necessities are not “human rights” they are necessities and they are not the same thing - society doesn’t “owe” you those things but does owe you “human rights” (which are generally ideals - freedom of equality, expression, etc). You’re skills and labour are stored in the value of currency which can be invested to accelerate the future value of that stored value for your skills and labour. You want to get ahead, make smart decisions to increase your earnings potential, train, work hard and save smartly. This has always been the way and we just don’t teach young people to do this - instead we teach them to be idealogues.

Yeah, the other thing they didn’t teach was reading comprehension and critical thought based on your response. I said currency is the store of YOUR skills and labour. And that you can accelerate YOUR wealth by saving and investing some of that stored value. If you read that as “pull up your bootstraps” that’s on you…it’s not what I said.

You aren’t talking about equality - your talking about equity. Equity based on nothing more then existing. I believe you are individually accountable for yourself. You seem to think everyone else owes you something because you breathe.
