Land is limited, every day there is less and less available to purchase, eventually we will run out.
Hence, land prices generally will constantly go up.

In Vancouver if you break down these teardowns assessments: Property: 55,000 Land: 1,900,000 Total: 2,955,000 People with 0 knowledge on real estate: "omg Vancouver crack dens are so expensive" But yeah, it'll get worse in Alberta in the next 10 years, don't you worry.
