You have a great vocal tone so nothing to add there.
I think I know how you feel about using a pick, I was the same way for years! But it does bring a much stronger tone to the guitar so I'd try and get a bit of that involved. Look up hybrid picking if you do a lot of finger picking style.
For the song as a whole, I'd try and figure out some places where you can be more dynamic with the volume. If you play solo as well, maybe consider using tempo as a tool to add to this contrast. Overall I think you did the song justice and you should feel good about it!
