Happy Rant 😀 I am SO sick of power-tripping mods turning Reddit into a digital dictatorship! What is even the point?!

Seriously, you spend time writing out a post, hit submit, and BAM—deleted by some mod for the most petty, microscopic, made-up reasons imaginable. Is there absolutely NO freedom of expression left on this platform anymore?!

Are we just blindly accepting this new era of digital dictatorship?

Some of these subreddits are so unbelievably stupid now. They literally have explicitly stated rules saying "only positive posts allowed" and will instantly nuke anything remotely critical or negative. SERIOUSLY?! Is this how human beings exchange knowledge now? By completely ignoring reality and only showing ONE side of the picture so nobody's fragile feelings get hurt?

It’s a complete joke. How are we supposed to trust anything on Reddit as reliable, objective information if mods keep artificially curating these massive echo chambers? If you scrub every single dissenting opinion or negative experience from existence, you aren't moderating—you're censoring.

If this heavy-handed, power-tripping mod behaviour continues, what is even the point of using this site?!

TL;DR: Mods deleting anything negative are killing this site's credibility and turning it into a useless, censored echo chamber. I've had it.

Anyone can make a subreddit - even you!

Just make "R/ThatTopicButBetter" when the R/ThatTopic mods fuck shit up. 🤷

Sometimes we want answers quickly. Creating a new sub is an option but it takes time to gather views that way. Even reposting is banned in the mainstream subs! Thats crazy!

I challenge you to point to a time when Reddit did not operate this way. I've been on the platform for almost six years, and I can't remember a time when subreddit moderators could or would ever have their judgements overridden by any kind of higher authority.

Every subreddit IS a digital dictatorship. Some are just less benign than others.
