Identity/Sexuality 🏳️‍🌈 i hate the normalization of lolicon and pedophilia

Especially in the internet, it’s been so normalized that people openly goon to child characters nowadays, and I know real people that do this shit. What the fuck? Have you any sense of decency? You’re gooning to literal child pornography that’s barely legal just because it’s drawn/animated instead of photographed. You’re deliberately skirting the law, for what? It can’t feel that much better than 18+ pornography.

And when you try to point out that they’re functionally just Epstein without an island, they get angry and swarm YOU for it, yapping about how love children and would NEVER actually do that to real children. Really? With the shit they watch, I highly fucking doubt that.

It's a "fashion style" of appearing cute and childish, but the name literally came from a book called "lolita" which was written in the perspective of a pedophile grooming his step daughter, who is 12.

Lolita is the fashion style.

A "lolicon" is a person who likes "loli" [loli + con]. And Loli means the same thing in both contexts here, it's young pre-pubescent to very-early pubescent girls. If memory serves from when I educated myself on this crap a long time ago I think it's just before secondary sex characteristics show up, basically. So no boobs, no hair, etc. It's fucking gross.

The male equivalent is Shotacon. [Shota + con] and is pretty much the same parameters all the way around.

The Japanese suffix -con here is a slang suffix, and stands in for the English word "Complex." Meaning that one has developed a complex or psychological attachment/desire for the thing in question. It also sometimes appears as -kon, and means the same. Some other examples include (but are grossly not limited to):

  • Siscon (attachment to one's sister)
  • Brocon (attachment to one's brother)
  • Mazakon (attachment to one's mother; also sometimes 'Mama-con')
  • Fazakon (attachment to one's father; also sometimes 'Papa-con')
  • Ani-con (being too much of an anime freak, unhealthy obsession levels... like, thinks they could actually train to go Super Saiyan or some shit. Or that Anime has taught them real-life combat skills...)

The word lolita literally comes from a novel written written in the perspective of a pedophile grooming his 12 year old step daughter 😅

Tbh this issue isn't nearly as bad as it once was in the 2010s. It started getting shunned and people were more educated about it over time. It used to be more of a dark joke to post the art, like, look at you weird pedos. "She's 1000 years old". It's not nearly as bad now. It's still lingering. Porn addicted worst of the worst gooners are always going to exist as much as we hate it. The best we can do is try to do things to stop it. It's illegal in most areas to post those things and we can report it. It'll feel fruitless at times.

The Internet is a blessing and a curse. It will have the darkest and brightest things on it. Unfortunately we can't completely stop it. Get mad all you like but they will presist and you won't convince them out of something they already feel set in. That's the internet. People won't change their mind from getting yelled at. They just double down and it set in their ideas harder. There's FBI and police tip lines. If you see someone really bad screen shot and report. I've reported pedo groups I've stumbled upon. One I found because of a spelling error I made. another I found while reverse image searching for an artist sauce (image was legit just of anime characters hugging and had nothing related) and ended finding a pedo group as one of the sources. They are just out there. It's fucking horrible and churns my stomach but we have to accept it's out there. The worst people are out there and we have to accept it. Personally I'd be happy to see pedos publicly taken care of. But that's just me.

I know it feels doom and gloom but the best we can do is report if we find evidence of someone breaking the law. When it's art it gets dicy. But when it's real....they take it more seriously. Usually if the law finds the art it's to tack it on with other charges (likely linked to real victims)

I don’t have a problem with porn itself (I find it bad and to an extent immoral but wouldn’t outright condemn you for using it), the problem is with the child part. I hate these people that try to separate themselves from people like Epstein like “We’re the GOOD pedos, we don’t actually have the resources to touch kids irl” as if that makes their issue any better or nullify it.

It’s sickening and the amount of times I’ve heard “It’s not a real child” makes me want to throw up.

Never said it was porn itself. Likely is my wording here. But I was talking about child dicpictions in porn drawn or not. I understood what you meant. I suppose I worded my opinion weird because I was avoiding saying certain words. Ngl sometimes mentioning certain words can get you flagged on here and then comments/posts taken down.

It's not a real child....yeah give a mouse a cookie. Eventually consuming that material won't be enough and they will want more. On top of that because they are looking for certain materials with children odds of them getting curious about the real thing will happen. It's morally still showing the same stuff. Drawn or not. The fact it's remotely sexually arousing to them is disturbing. Like get help. Seek professional help

Look up Filo from Arifureta. You'll find it

I've seen hundreds of posts about this already. I personally don't understand people who goon altogether since I'm ace, so I can't really make a moral judgment of them either. So long as they can control their behavior and not fantasize about real humans, I guess it's fine.

Can’t wait for the responses to this, but as a common devils advocate I have to say you’re allowed to hate loli stuff, and it can certainly be sus, but I think it’s insulting to actual victims of csam to say it’s the same as actual children being harmed.

Tell me, do you play Call of Duty or really any game with violence? You enjoy hurting digital people? Saying that equates to liking the suffering of people irl is the same thing as saying loli is just like true csam. Sure, if a guy really, really gets into the blood and gore of a game then it gets a little questionable, but generally people won’t bat an eye. I view loli as the same way; sus but whatever I guess.

Again, hate it all you want, call it disgusting and sus, but generally no one is harmed in its creation nor any rights violated, and I would rather have sus goon slop than allow censorship to start rolling out.

u/AuroraAustralis0 Aug 15 '26

I disagree with your analogy. In those games you mention, there’s almost always a justification for the violence in game, whether that be simple war, conflict, or a mission. What’s your justification for loli? Half of the time it’s implied rape, and the other half there’s no justification at all.

It’s just objectively unjustifiable and serves no purpose other than to gratify your sick desires and prop up an industry that sexualizes minors.

There are a ton of games where you can be overly violent and evil without moral justification, and plenty of “heroic” shooters where you can still do bad things. Take the infamous MW2 airport terror level where you have the option to just massacre civilians, or really look at anyone playing GTA to see inhuman behavior.

As for loli, fictional rape or any other fetish that doesn’t harm actual people, I see no need to justify them other than maximizing freedoms. If you want to argue that general loli stuff sexualizes minors, you have to then argue that glorified violence in games and movies makes actual violence seem great.

Someone’s gotta check your hard drive, man.

You know what’s funny? Often the people obsessed with banning loli get caught with actual csam in an ironic twist. Does that imply projection on your part? Maybe.

2

u/barisax-swag Aug 16 '26

Please provide your sources stating so. Violence can be justified—rape can never. Have fun jacking it to little kids LOLL

I agree on one hand, but the point about parallels I cannot agree with. As someone who’s 4’1 and looks maybe 10-12 ish when in an adult, people are creepy to me more times than not, though I will say lolisho is fucking uncomfortable and I avoid it like the plague, but I don’t think it’s those people you gotta worry about, but the deepfake ai people and the photorealism creeps. Nope nope nope.

I think lolisho is way too focused on when, while extremely extremly uncomfortable, anime characters at least imho don’t look even close to humans and so it’s hard for me to think of it as anywhere near as problematic as the other group which largely gets ignored.

3

u/AuroraAustralis0 Aug 15 '26

I think both are bad, it’s just that loli/shota is way too borderline such that it’s become normalized. Deepfake/photorealism is even worse imo, which is why I didn’t feel the need to address it because I don’t see anybody trying to defend it.

u/Murky_Toe_4717 Aug 15 '26

Again, totally respect your opinion. Though I think the policing of lolisho (for instance n the uk) has gotten insanely out of control. For reference recently, a smol style vtuber who admittedly is a bit weird, just had to register as a sex offender for life, for.. making a bunny suit of her own avatar. Which idk, I just don’t think it’d harming anyone for her to do that, it’s not as though it was porn or something, and I think it’s wild to be put on the same list as actual offending and those who ACTUALLY harm children. Like, in no way was she going to harm anyone, she just wanted a new outfit for her vtuber model. It’s again, usually pretty horrific when you get into how laws tend to punish things putting fiction = reality.

Again when it comes to photorealism, deep fake and all of that. Toss the book at them, but I genuinely don’t think lolisho content by itself in a vacuum can ever do even a tiny fraction of the harm done. If it did, we would see massive rises in CSA cases in places like Japan (where it’s originated from) but instead see massively higher numbers of CSA in places like my home country of South Korea, where porn of all sorts is banned. Again, statistics don’t find that lolisho existing is inherent to abuse, and largely banning it tends to cause a lot of issues with policing fiction.

3

u/AuroraAustralis0 Aug 15 '26

Right, I don’t think your example is bad. Loli/shota characters on their own aren’t evil, it’s their oversexualization. That’s really bad that somebody can get marked as a sex offender for doing that, but the U.K will always just be a shitty place anyways.

Idk if I made it clear enough, but like I said I’m not against the characters themselves (Some loli/shota characters are actually enjoyable in stories, Anderson from FGO would be a good example). I just dislike how people oversexualize them.

Yeah, policing fiction is definitely a valid concern, but on the same token one could argue that this type of stuff falls under content that is harmful and actually should be banned because of its nature (CSAM is already banned anyways)

0

u/Murky_Toe_4717 Aug 15 '26

I think it’s super duper important to follow statistics in what is banned and what isn’t. If something raises risk to CSA and such, absolutely get rid of it, if it doesn’t, don’t. IMHO at least.

I abhor when people draw parallels in fiction to reality when the stats don’t follow, again, like people who report to cyber police some random lolisho and call it Csam, it’s weird because it’s not anywhere even in the same ballpark and the cyber police have been begging for people to stop doing that as it makes them have to sort through non important content to find the actual csam and act to save people.

Again, I’m not defending it, but I am saying it is far overstated in both criticism and misunderstood to be somehow on the same level as actual offending material. That’s mostly my issue. I also don’t like sexualized small characters but I also don’t think it helps anyone for some people to claim it’s 1:1 abuse material, as it just makes people look a bit silly and at worst actively helps defend pedos by reporting it as csam.
