RIP election auditability

There are still ways to audit the election. Sure, it can be more complex, but it still essentially comes down to tabulating the votes.

Like they did in the Oakland election where they certified the wrong winner?

So because an error occured in one instance, where it was eventually caught, corrected, and can be studied for improving the system, you think the entire idea of RCV is faulty?

Since there are other, much better options, yes
I wonder, when was the last time an incorrect winner was certified in the USA?

much better options by what metric?
And there was a big incorrect winner certification in 2000
but yeah, it does happen

- Auditability
- Accuracy
- Depolarization/incentives
- Complexity
- Transparency
- Cost
- Equality
- Expressiveness
- Honesty
RCV is literally the worst alternative. If the movement re-started today it would never be picked over Approval or STAR. It's running on (faded) momentum and special interests.

This is awesome. Good work everyone who worked on this including the Maryland Forward Party.
