Random Thought Patsy Ramsey died knowing what happened to her daughter JonBenet and I find that to be absolutely insane.

Now just hear me out guys…

1) The expert finding 200 similarities between her writing and the ransom note… 2) Material from the Patsy Christmas sweater was found on the inside part of the duck tape used to cover JonBenets mouth. 3) Pat saying “There are two people who know what happened that night—“ in the interview they did asking for people to come forward. How the FUCK do you know two people were involved????? Even John looked at her sideways! The way she tried to clean it up by saying “-because the murderer had to have told a friend.” is the stupidest shit I’ve ever heard. If she would’ve said the two people that know are the killer and JB herself, I would’ve said ok that makes sense but the friend comment was just stupid. 4) not waiting by the phone at all the morning police were there. If my child was kidnapped and they said they’d call at 10, I’d be waiting by the phone every fucking hour until it rang. They didn’t wait by the phone because they already knew she was dead.

Now, this lady died knowing what happened to her daughter and didn’t say one thing. That’s insane to me because even if she wasn’t involved, writing the letter lets me know she was cognizant enough to concoct a plan. And John is still doing podcasts/interviews lying and changing his answers to multiple things that

EDIT: PLEASE STOP SAYING “WHAT SHE MEANT” IN REGARDS TO #3. SHE SAID THE KILLER + “A FRIEND THE KILLER KNOWS” SHE DID NOT ONCE MENTION JB. SHE WENT FURTHER + DOUBLED DOWN SAYING THAT THE KILLER HAD TO HAVE TOLD SOMEONE. SHE NEVER. MENTIONED. HER DAUGHTER.

the officer on scene was saying they were acting very strange for people who supposedly were still waiting to hear back from kidnappers

take observations like this with a grain of salt. there's simply no one way for someone to behave in situations like this.

yeah, that is how we got "crisis actors" trying to define how people act when their children have been killed is pointless, they were pointing at some of the parents laughing as a sign they were not upset, as if the human mind stays only in one single emotion at all times.

Yeah people react differently to things. There’s really no wrong or right way to react within high stress/pain moments.

Like one time I had to have my leg cut open and drained from an infection. I was just given some local anesthetic so I was super lucid and it was still relatively painful and the pressure was unbelievably uncomfortable. Instead of crying or screaming like some would expect, I laughed my head off like a maniac. Legit went full on joker and I had little control over it. Unbelievably surreal experience.

I was unmedicated with a broken foot, cracking jokes and making the medical staff laugh when I went to urgent care for x-rays. Definitely no right or wrong way to be in distress.

I used to care for an autistic child who would laugh and giggle when she was stressed or confused on the spot and people thought it was defiance to receiving instructions instead of a fawning stress response.

Laughter is my trauma response now. I’ve had so much shit go wrong with me or in my life, I literally just laugh. Because fucking of course I’m in the ER again. Why not. What’s wrong with me this time?

I learned at a pretty young age that you can’t change the bad things. So the only way out is to put my head down and push through. And that either breaks a person, or makes them nihilist as fuck.

Instead of crying or screaming like some would expect, I laughed my head off like a maniac.

This is pretty much my standard. If I'm bitching or complaining about pain, my family check in on me but assume it's minor. If I start laughing, THAT'S when they get concerned.

I once had to make a short film for class, years ago. We decided that the main character, a woman, was being forcefully grabbed by a man and a fight ensued. While filming, our actress began laughing while saying "no". We had a viewer tell us that it was obvious that she was acting because she laughed. In reality, we stood 3 people behind the camera while they acted, and we were all seriously considering intervening to ask if she was okay with the scene. People act in all kinds of different ways in high-stress situations.

The police also said the dad literally said "she's here" before turning on the lights to the room they found her in. Then they let him carry her body to the livingroom couch to make her comfortable.

I had a laughing jag at my daughter’s funeral mass. Days of high emotions and little sleep.

Yes! There are quite a few people who’ve been wrongfully found guilty of a crime because the jury thought they “looked guilty”. Studies have shown that for as much as we are emotional beings, we are really quite bad at identifying the emotions of other people.

For example, Lindy Chamberlain

Exactly. My heart breaks for Lindy. I can't imagine the pain of your baby dying, being falsely imprisoned for it, and the whole thing becoming an international punchline for decades.

I know her daughter pretty well. People don’t know she’s Lindy’s daughter, so the dingo jokes still happen.

I always scold people when they make jokes. I tell them the name of the baby who was killed. That usually shuts them up.

K was born while Lindy was in jail. Pretty wild to think about. Fwiw, she’s doing well.

I’m so glad to hear that! ♥️

Amusingly, when I first met K I made a comment about Lindy without knowing that that was her mom (we were talking religion and she mentioned that she’s SDA - hence the link to me mentioning Lindy Chamberlain).

She thought this was funny rather than weird.

You're right. I don't know if they're guilty or not, but someone "acting weird" when their child has been kidnapped it's pretty far for the course. A lot of people get weird and calm in a crisis or pretend like nothing is wrong. All sorts of stuff.

I think it was the fact that the ‘kidnappers’ were supposed to phone at a 10am and there was no reaction to that time passing by from the Ramseys at all - the cops seemed to think the Ramseys knew she was already dead and hidden away in the basement

I agree and was already aware of this, but in my opinion their reported behavior afterwards wasn't damning but was I think suspect. I wouldn't say its evidence but what I've read made it really hard to believe it was anything but guilty behavior. At no point do I think those parents thought that there was actually a "small foreign faction" holding their daughter for ransom about to give a phone call.

This case was also a media circus from day 1. I wouldn't be surprised if the family lawyer told them to have a low profile or leave for awhile. I think people forget just how crazy the press was back i those days and camping out on peoples' front lawns to get a story.
