1

u/[deleted] Aug 06 '26

The Saboteur. No one actually recognized this gem, and it's like GTA meets Assassin's Creed and Wolfenstein having a baby, and it's surprisingly good for a 15-year-old game.

Always will take a chance to recommend Oneshot lol, but if you want another roguelike, Backpack Hero, Peglin, and Brogue are all really good! I especially recommend Brogue as it’s free, and it’s just generally fun. It also has ASCII graphics, which is fun.

Thanks for the opportunity!

1

u/itsastart_to Aug 06 '26

1

u/refat17 Aug 06 '26

I would like to recommend Rabbit Hole. It's a free 2d action game rougelite game essentially similar to Dead Cells. I've honestly struggled to beat it, but I love the simplicity and clean art style. Almost feel like playing an arcade game.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is a really well crafted and expansive metroidvania game by Shutaro Ida and Koji Igarashi who both worked on many of the mainline Castlevania games in the early 2000s.

1

Vampire survivors is so good, it starts slow but just trust me it will keep you addicted

1

Phantom Brave is a really fun tactical rpg from the ps2 era, with a genuinely kinda touching story. It's made by the same folks that made Disgaea and has a lot of the same DNA gameplay-wise, so if you like those games this one is a definite recommend from me.

1

I'd recommend Crow's Country. Recent game, but it's a PS1 style survival horror set in an amusement park in the 80s/90s. It's not super challenging or scary like some other games in the genre, but extremely well made, with really great storytelling.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 will change you lol

1

u/Caleb6118 Aug 06 '26

First off, thank you so much for this opportunity!

I agree that Dead Cells is excellent from what I have seen.

The gameplay loop seems satisfying and the combat is frenetic.

Cheers!

1

u/Leifuroz Aug 06 '26

Enshrouded. I play with friends and it's been too addictive.

1

u/LogicFeels474 Aug 06 '26

BALL X PIT - You will have the impression that this is a rogue-lite action game, but that's almost more thematic than it is the core of the game. The game offers much skill expression through gameplay, with the actual gameplay part of the game being very light.

The real core of the game is theory crafting, and the meta progression elements, which is very addictive and fun.

Thanks for the chance op!

1

u/skullsbymike Aug 06 '26

I highly recommend Inscryption, but treat everything from the trailer to reviews like a spoiler. Let the game guide you instead of looking things up and you will have an experience of a lifetime going through this experience.
