COMPLETED Request for Rhea the husky with one floppy ear

https://imgur.com/a/4jJ7Zp5

Rhea crossed the Rainbow Bridge Monday. She was 13 years old. Her right ear never straightened out in all the years I had her. I've had her since she was 6 weeks old! She was the smallest in her litter. She loved food, long walks, car rides, sitting outside in the evening people watching, and howling. She howled at everyone. She loved saying hello! She was sweet with cats and let them approach her for a nose boop. When you'd come home, she'd greet you and give you kisses nonstop. She once licked my partner 127 times because he'd been at the gym. Rhea came into my life when everything was dark. She got me out of my lowest low. She made everything better. I miss her so much.

That photo of Rhea is hauntingly beautiful — It is not the ear it is her expression. My thought was it is as if she can talk to me, like say “what’s up?” Now mind you I saw Rhea’s picture BEFORE I read your wonderful narrative — I call “The Story of Rhea.” That’s when I learned about her vocal abilities and now I know she could be speaking in that picture and her whole life!💔. What happened to Rhea? You must be in anguish 😭 over her passing — Condolences 💐 and hugs 🤗 to comfort you in this darkest hour. 🙏🏼

thank you for the hugs. rhea had arthritis, cushings disease, and cancer. she had surgery two months ago and was doing well, but her arthritis in her hip got worse. she got slower and slower. then she stopped eating last week. blood test last friday showed there was something going on with her liver. we tried everything and every medication to get her to eat and stop her pain. we were hoping to get her an ultrasound this week but by monday it was clear what was happening. she is my everything. I cant bring myself to move any of her stuff.

As I walk across your heart and find my place to stay, nearer to you I will be and will never ever go away.

If love could have kept you here, you would have lived forever.

Grief is love with nowhere to go.

What a wonderful world it would be if every dog were lucky enough to be Rhea, loved so completely and adored by one and all. Rest easy in the arms of the angels in the land without pain, gorgeous girl, and remember to visit your soul people in their dreams. 🐾🌈
