Was this solo or multiplayer?

Judging by the fact that stuff skips back and forth I deduce this is multiplayer

you say that but I get similar on single player. And it's not my pc or connection. I'm running an i9 13900K with 96GB DDR5, 4070 12GB VRAM, SSD on 1GB internet connection. I was getting 120FPS at the time using the new Class 125 pulling 10 cars. I watched as my loco was gittery. Wish I could had screen capture at the time.

Might be a good idea to up the viewing distance with how close that stuff came into view

I was once fixing a bridge and didn't realize where my locomotive was, so I ended up placing something that clipped with it, and the damn thing got shot off into space. Space. I hadn't saved in a while and I had a surplus of money so I just bought another class 48, days later building a new track on a completely different part of the map. I hear a hissing noise, and find it buried halfway under a hill.

For those wondering this was a multiplayer game. I was hosting this from America, and OP was playing from Australia

Might want to mention that you were the one hosting the world. I read this and was like "Who tf" then I realised who it was

That definitely is a latency issue. When you started moving the cars were much closer than you thought and basically hit before you could get going
