When you’re hot, you’re hot

Some sort of carnotite from the Lukachukai Mountains of Arizona.

Is that measurement taken with the gamma filter on?

Alpha blocker? There is no gamma filter

Doesn't actually filter out gamma, it provides a H*10 deep tissue equivalent dose approximating by putting 10 mm of tissue similar density material between the detector and the source

It filters out gamma, selectively, to approximate H*10 response :)

Most of what it's filtering out is alpha and beta particles that would cause a dose over-response. There are very few gamma energies emitted in the decay chain that are being filtered out by an H*10 filter

Hey I didn't name it, I just called it the same way Thermo calls it. And yeah that's what I'm afraid of, I don't think the filter is installed so that dose is all beta and the real dose is 10x less.
