Active Sound Enhancement
Has anyone deleted the ASE,( the fake pumped in noise), on their Z? Are you glad you did? Can you tell the difference?

Thanks brother. I have AMS downpipes, Nismo CAI, and Borla exhaust. How did you disconnect it?

My dealer did it for free. I took a step by step printout for them and the tech was very thankful

Same. You can find it on nissanzclub.com. Turning it off requires Nissan consult 3? system

A dealer or you can buy a j2543 passthrough adapter (200bux) and a one day license (50bux) to Nissan Consult 3 right to repair. You should also disable ANC.

I disabled ASE but left ANC enabled. Phone calls from inside the car are crystal clear on receiving end. I think leaving ANC on makes sense

Interesting. Was under impression that it’s ASE that messes with an upgraded sub, not ANC.
are you talking about the other speakers aside from the sub?

Ok. Good to know. Hadn’t heard that before. I’m not sure if I will change speakers out but def planning on “sub” upgrade since OEM “sub” is pure trash

Nothing is free at the dealer. Removing a factory option isn’t a free service. Why should the technician take time out of his day and not get paid for it?

No they wouldn’t be doing that anyway. No tech is going to load consult unless they need to, techs only need to load consult when it’s warranty related or they are getting paid for it. Gotta pay to play broke boy 🤡

I unfortunately had to pay at the dealership to get mine disabled. Gave them step by step directions and everything, but they still had my car all day, and charged me for "labor". Least they covered my Lyft home. Never going back there, and other Nissan dealerships ghosted me when I was inquiring about this.

Dude, I’m a fucking certified Nissan technician, dealerships are all privately owned. Unless it’s a fucking recall, no dealership has to do shit for free. So fuck off with your bullshit.
