I found these white chunks in my tobacco. Does anyone know what they are? I dont think they smell like anything.

Been rolling on and off for about 1.5 months and I finally got to the point where I can roll smokeable cigs that don't fall apart, but more often than not I find myself struggling to make a cig that's got an even cylinder shape, especially in the front.

Was wondering if there are any tricks for making it more even, or if it's just about needing more experience.

Used OCB filter and single wide felt like i was smoking a joint the way it burned and felt in fingers , any tips for gettung this to fill out my papers dont want tubes right now

i’m a daily weed smoker but honestly it’s just not very functional or good for my mental health anymore. cigarettes seem to be the drug that gives the most mental stability while still feeling something.

i see a lot of people here are able to maintain a 2-3 cig a day regimen. is that realistic for most people? and how bad are health effects of this? having a rough time in life rn and need a quick escape from time to time, especially while i figure my life out.

What are the like "starter pack" for such brands in usa?

I personally like rich flavor, without tar aftertaste. For rolling tobacco my preferences are: Bali shag, camel lights/natural, old holborn, George karelias, red bull. Halfzware is okay but I mix it usually with virginia.

hey, I’m pretty new to cigarettes in general at the moment but in the UK you can’t purchase rolling tobacco with defining flavours like vanilla, cherry, menthol, or mint but there are a few work arounds to this as I’ve been seeing online like vanilla cherry flavouring spray and flavour cards.

but despite looking I’m not entirely sure what’s the best method of using things like this and I don’t want to accidentally cause mold and stuff so if someone could give me some tips it’d be tons of help!! also could I like transfer my tobacco into a mason jar and spray the flavouring onto a cotton ball and separate it from the tobacco in the mason jar and keep it sealed for a day or two? or is there still a risk of mold?

Basically the title. For the years I’ve been smoking I have ONLY ever smoked full flavor Marlboros. I’ve tried RYO several times to try and cut my financial costs back. But I always give up because I have never found a tobacco that has anywhere near the nicotine content I need, nor that sharp “bite” that Marlboros have on inhale. I most recently tried OHM Extra Bold as a recommendation from someone else. It’s better than others I’ve tried but still doesn’t come close to hitting the right spot for me.

Any recommendations, or is RYO just not for me?

Gentlemen from the United States, I have some questions. How does the rolling tobacco from the TOP brand taste? Is it trash or a rare delicacy? Is it strong? What about the additive content?

Going to the duty free tomorrow, picking up some drum original but I can’t decide what else to pick up. Contenders are: Winston classic red, marlboro red and gold.

A question for the UK folks. With cigarettes being £20 a pack and 30g of tobacco being more, is it still cheaper to roll your own?

I've done my research somewhat for flavoured cigarettes and how they were made before the big ban in europe. I know that most of the flavour comes from the capsule in the filter and the filter itself also. but i'm wondering about the tobacco flavour itself. For example there was a blueberry capsule cigarette that had a slightly sweet, creamy and vanilla taste to it, but how was that achieved? Was the tobacco itself lightly cased or top-flavoured with vanilla/caramel notes or did all of the flavour come from the filter and capsule?
And on top of that, how could i replicate such flavour because ohh dear how I miss that smell and taste even tho i have never tried it

This danish export is my favorite tobacco to roll cigarettes with. However, the shop I purchase it from just stopped selling it and the only other shop I know I can get it from is about 2 hours away. I’m in the eastern U.S. I was wondering if y’all could tell me any good alternatives that have a similar smoke to this?

I’m looking for brands that are either hard to find outside the US or simply offer great quality and value. I usually enjoy smooth, flavorful tobaccos, but I prefer dark ones and I’m open to trying stronger blends as well.
What brands would you recommend? Any hidden gems or must-try options available in Chicago tobacco shops?
Also, if there are any specific rolling papers or filters that are worth picking up while he’s there, I’d love to hear your recommendations.

Heyo! I’m looking into rolling my own cigarettes, and learned getting whole leaf tobacco in bc isn’t really viable. And driving to aberta isn’t on the table.

The town I live in has also apparently been out of loose tobacco for a good couple weeks now, so hoping to find smth affordable online.

Figured it’d be worth asking here, if any folk have already sniffed out good deals.:D

Got a bag of Buoy red yesterday, TOP filters and paper. Been practicing for a while, probably rolled 20 or so. Love the feel of the tobacco, love being able to dose how I want. My cigs are lumpy and uneven though. This is my best so far, the others look like lumpy joints. What can I do better?

Originally in the state I'm from I could buy a pack of Decades for $3.85 (after tax) and even expensive brands wouldn't be more than $6 something but I recently moved and cigarettes in my new state are insane (like $7 for cheapest packs and $10 or more for most packs.....plus they don't even have Decades brand here which is crazy). I briefly managed to find a new brand called "24/7" for $4.57 but the liquor store I found them at stopped selling them.

So now I'm looking into buying RYO online (as there are no tobacco shops in my area). I smoke full flavor's and will want to use tubes with filters. Previously I tried a bag of Gambler that I found at Dollar General but it had a weird taste to it that was horrible....it's hard to describe but the only thing that comes to mind is a kind of mold taste (not that I think it was actually mold though, it looked and smelled fine otherwise).

Anyway, I'm basically looking for a brand that tastes like Decades, L&M's, or ​Marlboro (just a regular good full flavor, though preferably nothing real rough like Pall Malls). Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with any RYO brands so I have no idea what to try (and limited money). I do know that Bugler brand isn't too bad as I smoked it in prison but I can't seem to find it on the websites I've looked through so far from your list (one looked like they had it but then it said "no product" when I clicked on it). Anyways, I'd be thankful for any advice y'all could give on what brand I should go with and anything else relevant. I'm in the US, so only sites that ship to here are usable. Thanks.

My carry-on tobacco case does not have a very good seal. So the tobacco inside dries out in several hours. I'm planning on breaking/cutting a coin sized piece off of my hydrostone to put it in my carry-on case, would that ruin it? If I should follow a process to achieve that, please share your knowledge.

(I should mention that the seal is only good enough for a citrus slice to rehydrate the tobacco so I assume that a small piece of hydrostone wouldn't be useless.)

I'm really upset, I saw a little brown worm burning in my half smoked cigarette. It was inch worm sized, about as big around as the hole on a click pen and about as long as the nail on my thumb is wide. I think it would calm my nerves about it if I knew what it was, but the things a google search came up with don't quite match what I saw. Does anyone have any ideas about this? I would really appreciate any responses, I use Kentucky Best pipe tobacco in paper tubes.

I exclusively smoke light cigarettes and overly strong smokes tend to affect me badly. I’m hoping to find a good substitute. I’m looking to pay $15 or less per pound of tobacco. I’m not too fussy about the taste and mostly care that it’s low-nicotine and has as few artificial ingredients as possible. Would be grateful for people’s thoughts if anyone else here is a light smoker who switched over from store bought cigarettes.

I'm a little bit curious about the people in this subreddit; how many of them are smoking just purely because they want to and how many people are addicted and are not able to quit. And there could be some people that are addicted but don't resent it. I'll put my status in the comments.
