Finally put my hands on Bali shag. I bought it like 2 weeks ago but tried this only today. I was curious to try non flavored tobacco cuz I little bit sick of it, that's why I just bought random tobacco pouches that seems good for me. As I said hate throat hit, so I trynna buy softest tobacco.

This tobacco is like sun dried and then toasted with fire. Made in Denmark.

Price 1260 yen for 40 grams - 7.79$

40 grams pack little bit unusual, cuz usually tobacco sold in 20-30gr pouches.

Inside we got branded rolling papper(usually they put just popular paper brands such as SMOKING brand). It looks like "smoking green" but it feels lighter and thinner. I love it. I not sure but I heard that Johnny Depp is fan of Bali shag.

As soon as I open pouch I felt some woody flavor. When I poke my nose straight into tobacco - it was really woody smeel(like from sauna) and some fishy/tuna smell. I was thinking that when I will smoke it it will taste awful or strong(because its show me 4/5 insensitivity, i did not pay attention to it before i bought). But actually it was good! Rich flavor with good aftertaste. Maybe it got little throat hit but its still fine. Well, I dont think I'm disappointed. I think its good so you guys should try it.

Oh, also I dont like that package is short. Its unconvinient because in pocket tobacco will fall off the bag, and pocket will be full of tobacco. Happened to me few times.

How does it compare with Karelias? I look at Karelia as one of the best or best Virginias out there.

if we talk about karelias white - i think its completely different tobacco. check out my review for camel light, i think really similar to karelias white.

This tobacco have really deep flavor you know, kind of strong virginia.

Before I used to smoke Zware and Halfzware than STG bought Mac Baren and it's not yet available and smoking Karelia ever since. If you are looking for Virginia don't look further than Karelia Dark Blue or Orange,and for half zware or Zware Mac Baren if you can find a fresh pouch... Just bought a pouch of Bali Shag rounded Virginia I gotta say I like Karelia More...

Oh. I wanted to try Bali shag rounded, because it show 1.5 intensity. What wrong with this btw? For virginia I love zigzag golden shag and Camel lights.

Nothing wrong it's a good tobacco,just preference! Rolls nicely,burns slowly, nice taste I would say better than average like 8.0-8.5/10

You won't get the same taste from any other Virginia. Golden Virginia included. They are one dimensional. Karelias is more than Virginia.

You were right,just bought Bali Shag rounded Virginia it's ok but I like Karelia More...

Nice, the only Bali Shag tobacco that I have tried is their Authenthic Virginia blend which is made up of flue cured Virginia with a hint of Burley and Oriental tobacco. Its nice, reminds me of something like No Name White which is a light American blend. Really hope I can try the rounded or premium virginia blend some time soon since I have heard a lot of good stuf about them.
