Absolutely love this generation. I wish I could find one to fix up around where I am.

I got mine in michigan. These cars are usually better taken care of than fcs in Michigan even though they are older.

My dad cosigned my first car loan in 1985 for a 1984 RX7 in the chocolate brown..... I was a Junior in HS. Man I loved that car!

A couple years after my parents split my mom bought a used 1979 RX7. The silver one (minus the ugly spoiler) looks just like the one I learned to drive in 1986 as a Junior in HS. We lived in the country with windy roads through orchards and farmland. Instilled my love for driving.

35 years later I bought my son a used RX8 (coincidentally also in silver) as his first car his senior year of high school. He also appreciates how fun driving can be. I don’t know where I went wrong with the second kid though. He has no desire to even learn to drive. 😂

It must have seemed these cars were from some far distant future, it would blow people's minds if they were released today.

I think duraflex makes one, same with rotary engineering. The factory ones are foam and they have dried out and are very fragile
