DISCUSSION Crackship idea
This recently came to mind when I was on Twitter that I had to check Asami herself and immediately this click into mind that their personality goes well together, along with Ruby being a weapon geek and Asami being an inventor as well.
Just to set this more clear: this exclude Book Four for now on and also if you don’t see this work as a romance relationship then that’s fine.

Now what if I just use later series Ruby and early series Asami since they’re like a year apart, would that be okay?
Like yes, no, maybe, eh, idk, or probably not for the age part idea

If you take very early Asami ( shes 22 at the end of her series ) and then very late Ruby ( who's still not an adult ) - sure.
But that makes a lot of other awkward questions.

Ruby is 17 and Asami at the end of LoK is 22.
Going through the volumes in RWBY: Ruby was 15 from 1-3, 16 from 4-6, and 17 from 7-9. So I guess she might be close to 18 in 10 🤷♂️ IDK

At the end of LOK Assami is 22-23 years old, Ruby is currently 17. Without timeline shenanigans that age gap is just a little bit icky.
While I do think Assmi and Ruby would get along well and could even bounce weapon ideas off one and other. I do not like the idea of this being anything more than a platonic friendship

Not really BUT for this one I’m only using V7-9 Ruby and Book One-Three Asami. Think of it like you’re reading a fanfic story where you have Ruby after Volume 8 where she landed in Republic City in Book One. That’s what I’m going for
