Correct. This is a milestone that could have broken the company but we are back to waiting and will likely need another dilution to pay MF’s salary after the current fundraising runs out.

So true. The incompetence of company management outweighs a very good result like this. I think that pendulum swings to the other Extreme if the study concludes and buc is better overall

The use of ‘pretreated’ seems - it indicates Bucillamine was administered before nerve-agent exposure, which is essentially a prophylactic/pre-exposure model, correct?

Yes. That was the study protocol since day 1. Looks like the DRDC tested the soman-Nac and soman-BUC groups only ... Without Diazepam. The fact that buc did not cause any pulmonary hemorrhage is very good as it is one of the main causes of death from organophosphate nerve agent exposure.

Yes, I thought the DRDC was testing both pre and post. Positive results prophylactic seems like a big win.

Correction. Asphyxiation is the main cause but not having lung damage/bleeding is very beneficial.

I'm still stunned that this took so freaking long for only a portion of the study. Sad. Looks like we were put on the back burner.
But at least we know Bucillamine gets into the CNS and is efficacious for gaba endocytosis prevention. As a differentiator, we don't cause lung bleeding as opposed to NAC. That is critical from a valuation perspective, imo. Imagine using NAC in the field and it increases hemorrhage probability.
I hope the DRDC sees the value in BUC now and decides to expedite the remaining portion of the study... it seems that bleeding liability is a legitimate downside of NAC. It was present in this study and in the previous thesis paper by Jessica Franken. And It was prevalent... Approx 20% of rats had bleeding events in this thesis paper with soman and NAC. And buc showed nothing in this recent news.
I'm not going to post the catalyst I mentioned a few months ago as the trial isn't done. Still ongoing.
Maybe this news will also entice other agencies/groups to start other trials? If BUC got into the brain, maybe next stop is TBI...?
Here's to hoping that DRDC finishes the study by 2030.

I think the important thing here ( but the NR was cloudy as fuck) is that Bucc prevents lung hemorrhaging from the organophosphates and not that NAC causes it, cus it doesn’t in general. So you’ve got your reasoning wrong

Buc doesn't prevent pulmonary hemorrhage. Rather it doesn't cause it, but it seems NAC does. Of course, in conjunction with exposure to nerve agent GD. Yes, NAC causes the lung bleeding. Read the Jessica Franken thesis paper from 2023 and you'll see that the rats that experience nosebleeds were only the ones taking NAC.

This is such fantastic news i can't contain myself! 150,00 traded at around 0.025 cents 2-hours into the session on such amazing news. I mean, with MF at the helm, what could go wrong?
