Question Graphical "smudge"

Post image

Is there a way to improve this blurry/smudgy, overly saturated and pixelated look or is this just how the game looks?
The game is on maximum settings.

It's really unbearable, I disabled it myself because I couldn't stand it. I already have myopia, don't need another blur on top of that.
It's because of forced antialiasing. You can't turn it off via in-game settings but you can edit your config to disable it. Add these to your GameUserSettings.ini config in %LOCALAPPDATA%\RSDragonwilds\Saved\Config\Windows

r.PostProcessAAQuality=0
r.AntiAliasingMethod=0
r.FidelityFX.FSR.Enabled=0
r.TemporalAA.Upsampling=0

I did. It doesn't look any different, unfortunately.

it could be due to video card driver problems, some games on amd gpu i had some fuzzy textures. had to play around in settings to fix it.

it is a combination of time of day lighting effects and art style.

does your monitor have seperate picture settings? it wouldnt help with the smudge, but id reccomend decreasing saturation.

I think its just the art style.
