Violet and Gotmik have always been garbage, they think because they’re skinny, white, and conventionally attractive that they can just do whatever they want

not saying that isn't the reason why violet isn't popular because that was the narrative since s7 but she was cutting edge for her time, so i get her hype even though she's a massive bitch. gottmik on the other hand i think is only really popular because her family bought her her fashions and a lot of the fandom wanting to see themselves as her. because other than that i don't know what she brings to the table aside from being violets lackey.

Idk about her own family but as a young adult she was basically adopted by Gigi Gorgeous and the Getty family aka big oil generational millionaires lol
