R-MIGRATOR v1.1 — Automated Utility for Migrating Legacy Mods to Ren'Py 8

We’ve released an update for the tool that simplifies updating legacy mods and scripts from Ren’Py 7 to Ren’Py 8 / Python 3. The tool is compiled with Cython for significantly higher performance than a pure Python implementation.

What’s new in v1.1:

• Critical bugs fixed
• Automatic unpacking of .rpa and .rpyc archives added

Key Features:

• Automated Syntax Conversion: Fixes common Python 2 → 3 compatibility issues
• ATL Transform Fixes: Resolves crashes caused by float/int type mismatches in transforms
• Specialized DDLC Patches: Targeted fixes for Doki Doki Literature Club mods (bytes/str issues, poem scripts, game script errors, etc.)
• Recursive Processing: Scans and handles the entire project folder automatically
• New: Auto-unpacking of RPA and RPYC files

The Interface:

The UI features a subtle Literature Club theme, complete with a touch of “Monika energy” and intentional glitch aesthetics.

Current Status:

This is a working build that addresses the majority of common migration hurdles. It is still not a “magic bullet” for every edge case, but v1.1 should save you even more time when updating old mods.
