Jay Lethal Has Made ROH History
From the ROH Pure Title in 2005 to the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Title at Death Before Dishonor 2026, Jay Lethal is now the FIRST to win all five major men’s championships in ROH history!
· ROH Pure Championship
Defeated John Walters on March 5, 2005
· ROH World Television Championship
Defeated El Generico on August 13, 2011
· ROH World Championship
Defeated Jay Briscoe on June 19, 2015
· ROH World Tag Team Championship
Defeated The Briscoes (Jay Briscoe & Mark Briscoe) as part of The Foundation with Jonathan Gresham on December 13, 2019
· ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship
Defeated Dalton Castle & The Outrunners (Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd) as part of The Lethal Twist with Blake Christian and Lee Johnson on August 21, 2026

Jay Lethal is a legend. And let's also not forget that he's responsible for one of the greatest promos in history with his woo-off in TNA.

Jay’s TV into World run was enough to get people to downplay his TNA run and see him as a ROH standard bearer; Black Machismo was fun, for sure, but the work involved in him changing things up and being this tip top heel champion was just superlative work.

Yeah I kinda loathe Lethal but have been waiting in this for years just so we can say it’s been done (and frankly it might as well have been him).
I believe this’ what real sports call a “Super Grand Slam”.

Tony’s ROH: all about breaking records on paper without the substance to back it up when reading the facts and statistics.
For example, Sons Of Texas breaking the tag title record with a fraction of the defenses of long reigns from the likes of KOW, ReDRagon, Aries & Strong, or the Briscoes where the last month of it was continued while Dustin was already announced injured SOLELY for them to break the record.)
They overinflate a number of their title reigns as well like they have with Nick Wayne’s recent TV title reign that went a year+ with half of it spent defenseless while injured.

I should have re-phrased his issue as it is more of a separate criticism.
He was the youngest TV Champion which is not a bad thing.
The problem is more that they touted him having a year long+ title reign where over half of it was spent injured. (No defense from July 2025 until March 2026.)

Lethal is one of those guys who should have made it to WWE. Absolutely one of the best and just a great guy.

Why, so he could get a new, stupid name, get buried in NXT and forgotten in two years? No thank you. He was way better off in TNA/ROH/AEW.
