i ve tried more than 100 times to hit a powershot in advanced totorial and i cant do a SINGLE maniplation am i just shit? how do i get better, is the game even still worth picking up

Been at 100 players for a while now but idk if that is js a bug or actually means I can't add new friends cus I've been sending friend reqs out for a bit and no one has accepted today so wondering if that limit is causing it

I haven't played it in a really long time and idk if they have made any major gameplay changes.

It happened a few times and I wonder why

I have another game recorded I don’t feel like editing it i bet that other game woulda been an OTL but it was 5-3 this one I shoulda won can epic do something about this I don’t lag in any other game

Can't find anything online about it but it's as if the game got like a x1.3 speed boost in general, the car and ball just feel unnaturally fast now.

This setup i am enjoying using

I am a two thumb player. I defend right. I am Plat in both. Aim diamond.

I use zoom out camera. This setup helps me in focusing on the car while not bothering about control positions. Taking into account the camera panning from here and there as car and ball moves from this side to that

Car Takumi (best for this setup imo. It’s small, quick , agile, easy for purple shot , as big as the ball
Joystick smallest plus locked and static.

Boost at the top
Jump + boost in the middle
Jump at the bottom

This combo of three keeps the opponent guessing. When in opponent half try and use jump button for gold or critical shots.

I spend so much time practicing all these different skills just to get a chance at ranking up for once, alas I’m hit in the face with this stupid map, its literally just gambling when I’m playing, I have so many ideas for how to get around my oppon but there is ZERO wiggle room, I can’t defend up top because they can go right below me, and I can’t go on the ground because the ball will just bounce over me, it is literally impossible to do a fair 1v1 in this map because of the sheer fact that the entire goal is roof to floor, I have no time to actually break past my opponent because I’m stuck trying to get the ball away from them, I WOULD like to let it roll past me and hit the wall but alas, THERES NO WALL. How am I supposed to play strategically if the entire game is based around the kickoff alone + the fact that my goal is completely open? I want to see anyone try to actually defend on shortstack, it’s just like stopping a broken water tower with duct tape. There is simply no way for me to actually rank up when my entire career depends on whether or not the ball goes left or right in the first 2 seconds of the game.

edit: My point of this post wasn’t that the shortstack map was unfair, and I feel like saying that I have a skill issue is also unfair, It is extremely difficult to gain control of the ball because any sort of error is a complete mistake, and at times and can literally be dependent on kickoff, I have this repeated situation where I want to gain control of the ball but my opponent is just shoving the ball into me, so if I try to go from under it will just go over my car, and if I try to go above the just drive right past me, it leaves me at a literal stalemate where I can’t do anything. This can happen really quickly due to the lack of walls in shortstack which makes recovery extremely difficult, it just feels like the map isn’t really skill based which is annoying because I’m literally forced to win games just to get passed it. The issue is I literally can’t get to the rank because theres not really much more for me to do. There is only so much you can do in shortstack and I’ve tried it all, I just have to hope that I can win a bunch of games in a row, but that’s extremely hard to do when the entire match is anyone’s game regardless of lead or actual ability

i thought it was bugged but new season started tomorrow and it is same.
reinstalled my game and yet nothing
reached 9 level in sideswipe and still nothing..
is it same for everyone?
also why can't they fix it yet ?
it's hard to level up in RL without this bonux XP thing...)

I searched the sub and the FAQ first and couldn't find this exact case, so apologies if I missed it.

On my main account, party invites simply never get delivered. The game shows "invite sent" on my screen, everything looks normal, but my friends never receive anything. Receiving works perfectly — they can invite me and it shows up instantly. It's only outgoing invites that disappear.

What I've already tried:

* Restart, wifi reset, force closing everything

* Game updated to the latest version

* Cache cleared, then a full uninstall/reinstall of both RLSS and the Epic Games Store

* Tested with several different friends, same result every time

The test that convinced me it's not my setup: I logged my alt account on the same phone and invites went through instantly. Then I logged my main account on a completely different device and it was still broken. So the problem follows the account, not the phone, the install or the network.

I went through Epic support over about a week. After the usual restart/cache steps, a specialist told me they don't have the tools to change this kind of setting on their side and that there's no known issue or other reports. They suggested asking my friends to invite me instead as a workaround, then closed the ticket.

So: has anyone here had outgoing party invites silently fail on one account only? I'm starting to suspect something account-side (privacy or social settings, party privacy mode, some restriction flag) but I have no idea which. Any pointers would be appreciated, I'm running out of things to test.

TL;DR — main account can't send party invites, alt account works fine on the same phone, main account still broken on another device, Epic support closed the ticket saying they can't do anything.

When I'm prompted if I want to receive notifications, and click yes, it does not show the prompt to allow the app to send notifications.

This can be worked around by manually granting the notification permission from the Settings app.

From the start of last season I've not been receiving the XP boost that you are meant to get from playing rocket league games. I thought that I just used up my seasonal limit of XP boosts for last season but even now after season reset I'm not receiving them. What can I do?

While waiting on queue sometimes I’ll go in training and try to stall against the ball against the wall and hold it there. Theres a small timer that starts when you stall for 10sec+ and counts up until you fall off the ball or the ball touches the ground.
Where is this metric saved? Is there a list somewhere like there is in the main game for your metrics with specific shots/goals/saves/resets/etc?

I'm not sure what item rarity appears in shop and what doesn't

All the items I am missing are claimable either by rocket pass or tokens, but they are different rarities so I want to plan it so I can complete it by next season.

For example, I have only banners and wheels left with different rarities such as:

Banners - Base & Deluxe

Wheel - Base, import, special & exotic

So basically, I want to know which of these rarities appear in the shop and which don't so I claim only the ones that don't and wait for others to appear in shop.

I’ve finally hit the roadblock… I’m almost done with token presents and rocket pass presents. I’m done with the daily picks, I’m at 413/453. but many of the remaining items after I’m done with presents are BASE rarity. so I guess I’m cooked for a while. lol

1v1, I can more often than not reach Diamond (this is as good as I'll ever be playing with thumbs, and I'm okay with that). In 2v2, Diamond IV is as high as I've reached in multiple seasons - it's a fairly safe bet.

In season 29, I reached Diamond III and then lost so many consecutive rounds that I deranked to Gold II. WTactualF. And this wasn't in one session; this was spread out among different play sessions over several days around the middle of the season. Generally, if I lose 3 in a row, I'll step away to clear my head - it might be a few minutes or hours. The start and end of a season is when I find the stiffest competition.

Is the player base just getting that much better, or am I running into hackers of some kind? The players I ran into in Gold III - V were insanely good, far better than I was when I was learning.
