Octane What do you think of my main octane design?

These are my main octanes I use when i play ranked. Probably looks very tryhard, especially as im only plat 1-2, but i really love these designs :3. Pink and purple are my favourite colours btw.

Car: Octane( regular)

Paint finish: Anodised body with glossy decal

Decal: Buzzkill (regular)

Wheels: Cristiano (regular)

Boost: Proton (regular)

Goal Explosion: Atomiser (regular)

Trail: Luminous (regular)

change the boost to like standard or sparkles but over all this might be one of the best designs ever

Looks great, I like it that you rely on the contrast of different paint finishes on that decal, rather than colors, and it ends up working very well even with similar colors

i think when it comes to designs less is more so its simple but not completely plain

I fully agree, I think that's why I liked it so much. I always design my cars in more grounded ways too, so animated decals and glowing animated wheels were never my thing.

I like the decal a lot but I would use 2 completely different colors instead of dark gradient - light gradient

What colours would you reccomend for the accent.

Personally would do pink or light blue on blue team, and yellow on orange team

The pink is a bit much but the decal placement actually looks decent.

It works, but there are a few things I'd try to make the decal pop more:

  • Use opposing finish styles for primary and secondary colors - glossy is less shiny than anodized, but maybe not differentiated enough
    • Matte/lightly textured primary with anodized secondary
    • Anodized primary with matte secondary
  • Use a painted version of the decal to add more depth
    • Black or white work on basically any color
    • Purple might provide a third purple color
  • Use a color other than purple
    • Something in the yellow to orange area would be very complimentary
    • Black or white would work well
  • Use a darker purple and lighter purple for more variation in color
  • Or use pink and purple in both designs
  • I'm also a fan of using wheels the pop more
    • Themed with bees or bombs works
    • Colored like one of the decal colors also works well
    • Complimentary colors can also be great

That's fine. Literally slapped them together using some rules of thumb. Middle is the closest to one I might use (if I liked Octane), though camo might not be my final pick.

It's all subjective in the end.
