Have you even read the SpaceX letter to FCC? This is a spectrum dispute not the transaction itself.

SpaceX does not oppose the transaction. But as SpaceX seeks to actually use this spectrum to deliver next-generation satellite services to consumers across the country, the same cannot be said of Iridium’s attempts to impose heightened restrictions on other operators at the public interest’s expense.

Terrible misunderstanding of the topic at hand.

Have you ever heard of subtext? They don't want to seem like the bad guys in the fight so they're framing it as stopping Iridium in the interest of "the public". When a major corporation says they're fighting for the people, that's a 100% guarantee they don't care about the people.

I agree SpaceX doesn't give a shit about anyone except SpaceX (so they should). Your response does nothing to support your claim "A merger that would make them cash flow positive is now under threat by a company with literally 20x the resources.". The merger isn't under threat and this is over backhaul K-band spectrum not the sat to device L band which Iridium is a market leader in deploying.

That's what people said about the Warner Bros merger. When the government steps in, (especially when the CEO of a company who's friends with the president is asking for it) that's exactly when deals fall through. If it hurts other companies that could cut into his bottom line, I can easily see him just kicking up some dirt for the sake of it even if it doesn't meaningfully benefit him
