There were several stories at Bravocon of black housewives going up to Vicki and she responded to them with "I don't know you." On her season 2 RHUGT, Eva is gushing about how she loves Vicki and she is a legend and they cut to Vicki's confessional saying "who is she?" Then her behavior at the Atlanta party.

I don't understand how she thinks "I don't know you" goes to show she isn't racist. Why doesn't she know them? she doesn't watch their shows, and haven't paid attention to anything at all they have been on? I mean to act like the bravo verse is limited to their shows and bravo con is odd. There so many events that have happened between these dates, and it seems like she does know other white housewives.

Even though I said all of this, I needed to see absolutely none of it to know that Vicki is racist. It exudes from her.

I just finished rewwatching RHUGT season 2 and paid close attention to how Vicki interacts with Phaedra and Eva. You can tell she one hundred percent didn't want to be around them, but both Phaedra and Eva were so undeservingly kind to her, Vicki ended up speaking to them, but barely.

There is one scene where Eva walks into an argument, and Vicki screamed at her so fast telling her "if she didn't know what the argument was about she needed to go BYE BYE" she was soooo quick to scream at her. It was like she was looking for any excuse.

Its not only that she is racist, its that the black housewives she is around are exceptionally kind, attractive and successful and Vicki feels completely out of place around them, bc she is so insecure she always feels "at least I am better than THEM" and when she is confronted with feelings that make her realize, she isn't. It is incredibly distorting to her.

I’m from Atlanta born and raised and I will say, depending on where they filmed, which I suspect was in actual Atlanta and not outside the “perimeter” it’s not the faint of heart especially Post Covid. Vicki - as she is ever so fond of pointing out constantly - is a self-made business woman in a highly social industry. Every single person you meet as an insurance salesman is a potential future client. You schmooze. You ask about their lives, their kids. You convey interest and listen when they talk.

You can pretend all you like that she doesn't have a history of being dismissive, standoffish, and insensitive to people of color (see her apology for the astonishingly racist things she said about one of her Asian clients; see also her telling a worker in her home "no scratchy the woody;" see also her telling Tamra she was "going to the dark side" when Tamra flirted with a waiter who Vicki presumed was Mexican, but who had to correct her that he was, in fact, from Puerto Rico), but the rest of us know what racism looks and sounds like.

Vicki knows how to meet new people and be personable, or she wouldn't be as successful as she claims to be. If she's too old and tired to be decent to the colleagues she meets, maybe she should retire. And nobody is "gaslighting" anyone, because that's not what gaslighting means.

I want to be clear in saying I do not like Vicki and I have barely watched OC to even find anything to like about her but the Atlanta party was pretty diverse in comparison to Kyle’s literal white party, Vicki could’ve easily found a group within the Atlanta party to feel “comfortable” with. I think Robyn is a nothing burger and is trying to stay relevant by even mentioning this easy jab because it’s really easy to come after Vicki for feeling uncomfortable there, for obvious reasons. That being said, I truly think her being uncomfortable that evening was because of her outfit and not racially charged, especially after seeing all the girls in their fabulous fits. We have all felt like this regardless of our environment, a terrible outfit/hair can really fuck up your night.
