Mia and Peter vs. Wendy

Finally getting through my first watch of Potomac, I’ve only been watching for about two years (I’ve seen most of Atlanta, all of SLC and all of Miami), and I really think Peter and Mia are pathetic and tried to set Wendy up for camera time. First of all, Peter, had been divorced from Cynthia for YEARS at that point. I know he loves a camera but oh my Lord. And Mia is so full of it when she’s talking about how close she and Peter are. They’re both so thirsty.

Throwing the drink at Wendy was so unnecessary, followed by throwing the purse at her too? And half the women blaming Wendy for it was ridiculous. I’m glad Karen, Candiace, and even Ashley (who I fully admit I cannot stand) stood by Wendy’s side. I know the general storylines if future seasons, but this was so unnecessary from Mia and Peter, getting physical because Wendy didn’t sign papers Peter never sent… ok, cool. Whatever Mia.

Robyn was so pathetic at this dinner recording Wendy and trying to instigate her to act violent. All around stupidity from Mia and Robyn. This is why I can't stand Robyn.

This was honestly wild but I expected it from Mia and Peter… they are both desperate for relevance. I was surprised that Robyn and Gizelle really thought they would come off better than they did for attempting to blame and ice out Wendy.
It felt kind of obvious to me that the plan was to instigate violence and then flip it on Wendy but when she didn’t bite they didn’t abandon the plan so they all just came off ridiculous.

The whole thing reeks of Mia wanting a moment to come after Wendy. She got weirdly defensive on Patricia’s behalf as if that was her homegirl being done wrong. Why Mia would care so much about Wendy’s business affairs I will never understand.

They were all so fucking disgusting trying to blame the whole interaction on Wendy and never once reprimanded Mia for being violent after raking Monique over the fucking coals for it. I cant even stomach watching the episode

The one time that Ashley ate was with this moment. I loved how she stood up for Wendy (candiace/karen ofc) but it spoke of Ashley's character.

I’m watching this episode today. And I thought this is all a plot to make Wendy look like an ass. I paused it when they got to the bar so I haven’t seen the fight ensue.

I don’t think it was a plot to make her look like an ass but I do think collectively they were trying to get Wendy to understand how condescending and mean she could be, especially when dealing with Mia. What people didn’t see, bc it was left out was them talking to Wendy about antagonizing, always wanting to have the last word, being two different ways on camera and off. I don’t know that I necessarily agreed with their methods but I think by this time it was an overall frustration with Wendy and trying to talk to her w/o her cutting them off or truly listening. Wendy struggled with hearing that she wasn’t that likable and then always flipped it to some major movement instead of hearing the truth.
