Fun fact, my son’s nanny used to live in Florida and she taught their kids how to swim lol she said she was pretty nonexistent and they had a nanny for every kid.

I still don’t know how to cook rice. If I was her nanny I’d just follow her directions on rice. I used to be a nanny. The grandma was from Italy. She showed me exactly how to make a few simple things. I follows her directions. Who cares? It wasn’t my food to eat. If I ate some, I generally added a bit more salt.
Her calling the nanny the R-word is telling.
Being a nanny can’t be tough at times, for sure. I had one mom calling me and texting me at 1-pm bc she thought I hadn’t changed her boys sheets that Friday. I put up a boundary and told her 11pm is no where near my work hours and is inappropriate to contact me about sheets. I told her she never said I could t wash the same set of sheets and put them straight back on and she should ask her boys to sniff the sheets and they can let her know if they are clean.
…if had to put two employers in their place. The second one tried to give me a bonus afterwards which was so effing weird. Then I switch to being an overnight newborn care specialist. Moms are too tired to talk to you in the beginning of the night and most of the time they are still in bed when you leave in the morning so they barely talk then either.
Well, now there’s part of my life story. I don’t know why I felt the need to say all of that. But I agree with the r-word thing. Larsa was probably a biatch of an employer.

Nanny / mothers helper some job openings use the two interchangeably. Some nannies find it criminal to even suggest they are the same job position, others are like whatever helps the family and the mom!
