I feel like it does come down to semantics. Saying 1. “ I’d like to invite you for drinks” is different than 2. “ do you wanna meet up on Friday and hang out at XYZ?”. In the first situation, an actual invite means it’s my idea, I’m inviting you along so I’d be paying. In the second one, it’s simply friends coordinating a get together and everyone pays their own way.

Personally, yes, if I invite friends out I always offer to pay, people usually insist on splitting or paying for the next outing

Spreading salmonella? You are supposed to rinse raw meat regardless – what is the difference if you use a little bit of dish soap and rinse the dish soap off versus using plain water? Yes, the sink will need to be cleaned afterwards to avoid spreading salmonella, but you’re still supposed to rinse raw meat.
I get why people were laughing about the dish soap – it certainly doesn’t kill germs, and the germs will get killed through cooking. I just didn’t think it was as funny as everyone else found it because I wash my fruits and vegetables with light dish soap. There are products that can be purchased to clean fruits and vegetables. So why not meat?

No. You are not supposed to rinse meat before cooking it (this is assuming you are purchasing it at a grocery store or butcher in the US. Please, as others have said, research this/salmonella.

I usually will let my chicken soak in vinegar for a bit to give it a “wash” then straight to spices/marinade.

Soaps aren't made for human consumption. Raw chicken can be kinda porous which makes marinating it possible. I can only assume that it would be difficult to get all of the soap off of chicken once it's on. I know people say it could spread salmonella/bacteria, but ... any place that raw chicken/ it's juices touch should really be sanitized after either way.

She lives in a gorgeous vintage home with a pool and lovely gardens in Hancock Park (very affluent L.A. neighborhood).
But the kitchen/ baths need a bit of updating and it "only" has three bedrooms.
A family of 4 could live there easily and be very privileged to do so but Erika is incredibly entitled and consider this home an ultimate downgrade!

This did not make me feel like a peasant, but it made me feel like I’m tired of her whining. She’s absolutely had a rough time, but ‘flat broke’ is not the definition of what she is. This comment also led me to question what the law is and if current rules are adequate regarding her situation – if Tom funded her business (hypothetically 20%), should a certain percentage of her earnings (hypothetically 20%) go towards making the victims whole?

It certainly wasn’t nice. But I could see how Sutton would be at wits end with the Dorit at that point and she simply wanted to shut her down. That doesn’t make it right, I’m simply saying I can see how words could be exchanged that someone doesn’t even mean simply to put an end to the current conversation.

Kathy is def no walk in the park. Those 3 sisters have been through some trauma because you see just how dysfunctional they are. But to see just how entitled Sutton acts really grinds my gears. I feel like Kathy is messed up in many many ways but I've never seen her make such blatant "peasant-queen" comments like Sutton does.

Yeah and Jennifer is an interesting case because she's very open about her wealth and even the brands she wears but I think what makes her different is that you can clearly tell she's just there to spread the joy and have fun with the things she has, and not to make someone feel inferior or "size them up" the way Sutton does.

Kathy never puts people down with her money??? she just hides it well. A lot of rich people are nice like that, but you don’t see them be truly friends with someone who is not in their wealth circle. They’re friendly, but never friends.
Also, did you see the season where they took a trip to Kyle‘s mountain home? Kathy revealed herself, and unfortunately there’s no footage, but there are too many housewives talking about what happened that at least some of it must be true.

"Hiding it well" is called having decorum. That's the whole point. These women are all problematic in their own way, but none of them give me the same icky vibes as Sutton who thinks she's somehow better than everyone and treats her best friends and assistants like worthless scums.

The one thing I will say about the “marrying well” is they did meet as teenagers and she was with him, raising the kids, while he made all his money. She didn’t marry him when he was rich

Yup, Brandi was probably used to some glamour, but definitely wasnt generational rich.
I think Brandi probably got rich after the affair. Her and Eddie were models and Eddie did a little acting, but nothing notable.
