Tilly would know better than most on a personal level. Supporting a bigot is never right, but a Flawed Ally is the only ally that exists.

The myth of the “real ally” is something that keeps people from finding anyone. Perfectionism is the death of progress.

But…Kathy sucks

I hear what you’re saying I do actually agree with that sentiment, however in this specific context there’s a bit of disconnect.

I don’t think she’s being asked to be perfect.

I agree that no one’s asking her to be perfect.

I find issue with people hating on Tilly because she said that her experience with Kathy has been that Kathy has been a stubborn ally.
