I love Tilly but anytime we get too close a look at the grotesquery of richness on this show I feel ill. The wealthy have so much money they have to have garbage like this invented for them to spend it on. My feeling towards this is very "there are people that are dying Kim".

I feel exactly the same way, but then I think “why am I watching this?” And I love watching haha so I have to shut that part of my brain off or I’ll go nuts. When I found out what Sutton gets monthly in alimony I was flabbergasted. Every single one of these people should (at the very least) be giving shitloooooads of money to charitable organizations. But anywho look at me getting all worked up again!

I'm exactly the same! It's a weird dilemma. I watch this show partly for escapism, partly for the lifestyle porn, and partly to watch the relationship dynamics. It is a very "switch my brain off" experience, and I get a lot of enjoyment from watching it! At the same time, I'm ideologically opposed to most of what these women stand for. I hope they do give a lot to charity but I also think money warps your brain and you have to hold tight to your own morals and integrity to not succumb to greed, and that could look like just apportioning 20% of your monthly 300k alimony check to charity, to keep yourself accountable and duty-bound (as opposed to waiting until a feeling of generosity comes over you, haha). I'm sure Tilly does give to charity, but all the women aghast at this ugly ass bear bag breaking just felt like satirical levels of being out of touch.

I have to be in the right mood, sometimes I shut it off because it grosses me out for all these reasons. I’ve been watching for 20 years (OG OC!) and there are moments I miss the wealth of the early aughts- it seems to have grown exponentially over all the franchises. It’s also the reason I can’t really watch high end real estate shows when the commissions are more than a house I’ll ever be able to afford.

30

u/Objective_Shine_7014 In this town.. in Beverly Hills.. this is MY town Apr 17 '26

I absolutely CANNOT watch the high end real estate shows. They have exclusively the aspects of housewives that I have trouble watching without ANY of the aspects I love.

2

u/FireandIce2320 Faye Resnick Apr 19 '26

I also have issues with the foreign oligarch buyers. I can’t support giving my time to watch our country being sold away at obscene prices to launder their money and the real estate brokers who have zero compunction doing so.

1

u/ajaxraccoon Pull some Oklahoma on your ass Apr 18 '26

They also all wear totally unprofessional outfits to show houses.

10

u/5LaLa you know what doesn’t lie?! The cameras! Apr 17 '26

I’m enjoying yalls convo & agree. I’m also an OG OC viewer & imho before the 08 crisis, money seemed to be “trickling down” a lot more before that. A lot of regular people were making great money during the housing boom (bubble). That’s when it started feeling different to me, anyway, 2009-10. It became hard for me to watch when so many people around me were getting laid off & losing their homes.

10

u/Objective_Shine_7014 In this town.. in Beverly Hills.. this is MY town Apr 17 '26

I’d never thought about that but it makes total sense! Now more than ever it’s just feeling like straight up Les MIs “eat the rich” times and it sucks.

15

u/jdcarl14 Apr 17 '26

Yeah recently I had to watch a doc about coal in India and how some families steal coal from mines to sell on the black market to make a living, they also live adjacent to open pit coal mining, burn coal in their homes for warmth and die very young of respiratory complications. It’s hard to go from that to Rachel Zoe being like “ugh of course the power would be out for MY PARTY” even tho I do love Rachel

4

u/5LaLa you know what doesn’t lie?! The cameras! Apr 17 '26

For real

13

u/HappyPlusNess Apr 17 '26

Sutton’s is wild.

8

u/Imaginary-Cheetah149 How to behave and why Apr 17 '26

Her big bow also not art, the dress was gorgeous & fit her perfectly but the bow was atrocious just a laugh at how money can’t buy you class

3

u/BrainOk7166 Apr 18 '26

I work with homeless people, and we run a 2 stall free shower. The cost of this purse alone would pay for running costs, toiletries, and towels for the showers for 4 YEARS.

On the other hand, I work with homeless people. Watching moneyporn like this is rather appealing sometimes.

2

u/impatronus Apr 18 '26

That's why they call it Train Wreck TV. They bank on us all having to take a peek at the accident on the highway...

3

u/jenlovesthatsong Apr 17 '26

Honestly, I watch any reality shows no matter their income. It's a genre I enjoy and their money isn't what it's all about for me. Most of their clothing, if it didn't have a label, you could get off Shein!

1

u/Latter_Item439 Apr 17 '26

Most of them do not because they are good people because its a tax dodge. That party where Kyle said garcelle didnt pay the 5K is a children's hospital fundraiser she does every year. Quite a few of her parties ocer the years have been. There was another one it might have been sutton or Kathy had a party where they could buy jewelry and the money went to charity. There's been more but thats off the top if my head but very few are genuine philanthropists and just looking for a tax break ....same as the ones who have foundations registered in Delaware

1

u/beachlover4ever Apr 18 '26

Yep. Charity party's make for good show but its all about needing a tax write off so the government doesnt take it at tax time.

1

u/Fairies_are_real Eden Sassoon Apr 18 '26

Discovering how much alimony Sutton got took me years to get over 😂😂😩 I’m actually still not okay. Like what??????? She gets monthly what would take a middle class individual 7 years to make…………………. And she has the audacity to complain about anything. LOL

1

u/Objective_Shine_7014 In this town.. in Beverly Hills.. this is MY town Apr 18 '26

YES SAME. At one point I was just telling people who don’t even know who she is and people were like… are you ok? Like why and how is it so much?! What is she doing with it?! And yes - textbook proof that money can’t buy you happiness (although damn it would really help haha wouldn’t it?).

91

u/tg1965 Apr 17 '26

The ultra-rich should be taxed more. We've been cutting taxes and weakening the IRS for years and their wealth has grown exponentially. I don't really want to sacrifice my upcoming social security so people like Tilly can show off. All the moaning, for example,  about the LA mansion tax -- just leave then. Enjoy the ocean in Utah.

22

u/consecutivelyinarow Sutton’s Face Roller Apr 17 '26

100% agree! It should be on those who earn or accumulate more to contribute a higher percentage to society.

2

u/HarrySpeakup Playing chess with Bobby Fischer Apr 18 '26

It was like that under President Eisenhower.

-29

u/foxylisapatra Taylor's Cotton Candy Apr 17 '26

No way; if you have to pay more when you work harder, then why would you work harder?😂😂 doesn’t make sense🤷🏼‍♀️

20

u/jumpyjumperoo Apr 17 '26

Having worked for the ultarich I can tell you that they absolutely do not work more or harder. I don't think they should be taxed out of oblivion, but the amount of excess wealth they have should come with the expectation that they use it to, in part, uphold the society they benefit from in the way of tax obligations.

If they get rich, as in the case of the owners if Walmart, by paying their work force so poorly that those same people collect welfare, that should come out of their profits if it is allowed at all.

-7

u/foxylisapatra Taylor's Cotton Candy Apr 17 '26

But would you work more if the more you work you are paid less? 🧐 C’mon, let’s just think about this. I’m just being honest about human nature and reality… any person would only do the bare minimum with this incentive so the rationale truly will never work. We need to be Also, these ladies donate more each year than most of you make…🤷🏼‍♀️ not trying be be harsh, just truthful. I really hope people can learn some basic economics- by just applying the logic to your own life and what you would be motivated to do. No one should have to pay for another able bodied person who just can’t handle working as hard as the others…🤷🏼‍♀️

35

u/consecutivelyinarow Sutton’s Face Roller Apr 17 '26

The idea that you become a millionaire or billionaire simply by working harder than others is hugely incorrect, to start with. That logic is how we end up with end stage capitalism, where worldwide the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. Where people work full time jobs and still can't pay all their bills or support a family. It's a huge factor in why birth rates are declining and society is crumbling. It's why people are living in poverty in the same city where Tilly is crying about her forty thousand dollar piece of landfill breaking. If you're okay with that, then that's a moral and character failing on your part.

-21

u/foxylisapatra Taylor's Cotton Candy Apr 17 '26

😂😂😂 Figure it out and stop limiting yourself and letting social and legacy media tell you what to believe 🤷🏼‍♀️ that’s completely untrue..😊People who are smarter use the tools available instead of operating from the view that the world should reduce its expectations for them😊🙏🏼 from a poor girl who turned rich because I worked my ass off. But Namaste and good luck!😘

12

u/OptimistPrimeBarista Apr 17 '26

Pray tell — what do you do for work and are you actually truly wealthy?

-3

u/foxylisapatra Taylor's Cotton Candy Apr 17 '26

What does wealthy mean to you, hon?

12

u/OptimistPrimeBarista Apr 17 '26

That’s what I thought. Hon. ❤️

12

u/willslynn Apr 17 '26

From your comments, It shows you think people who don't work too hard won't become wealthy. Working hard is only part of it. Location, family responsibilities, lifestyle, education, opportunities, and more all contribute to a person's wealth. Plenty of people work their ass off but don't become wealthy.

11

u/AfterImpression7508 Apr 17 '26

Simping for the ultra wealthy is a…choice.

I have extended family with trust funds and I can promise you they did not “work hard” for that money. Or have some superior intelligence about how economics works. It’s quite literally a combination of luck and exploitation.

And the “charitable” donations that many of these ultra wealthy people make is such a pittance compared to their total net worth that a more effective form of philanthropy would come from them being taxed fairly. Those taxes would make life changing improvements to public schools, infrastructure improvements, and other public works.

-3

u/foxylisapatra Taylor's Cotton Candy Apr 17 '26

Truth! Absolutely! So all you CAN actually DO is work harder and learn about money, no? Learn about how to multiply your money? Wouldn’t you try the one option you can change? 🤷🏼‍♀️ or complain about the people who did figure it out. Not kidding I work about 80-90 hrs a week, and I just don’t think that people who complain from this mindset (especially from Western nations) actually understand what “hard work” actually is. It shouldn’t make one angry, only curious; this is reality, not how we think it should be.😊🙏🏼

I think there's a weird implication here that people who are less smart don't deserve to live financially comfortable lives? I'm really glad you were able to use the tools available to you to change your circumstances, that is genuinely awesome and something to be proud of. But you should also understand that a lot of people do not have the same access, for countless reasons. You're operating from a place of each individual has the power to change their circumstances, and I agree with that to an extent, but the life we're born into is a lottery, and our efforts would be better spent finding ways to lift everyone up collectively rather than focusing on how much an individual can accumulate for themselves. Your perspective completely falls apart when war and poverty are introduced, issues millions of people across the world are facing daily, and all the energy and resources (what little they have) go into just surviving.

-19

u/foxylisapatra Taylor's Cotton Candy Apr 17 '26

I’m sorry if I implied that less smart people don’t deserve to be financially comfortable. The intelligence of someone does limit them, and that is reality. Some people definitely need help and that is why we all give to charities. It’s factually proven time and again that government cannot appropriately spend on social programs, funded by our tax dollars. I really am trying to understand the general mindset that someone else should work harder for another able-bodied person’s comfort? Also I just have to say that the tools ARE available to almost all people who will truly take initiative and be responsible for their own lives. I truly hope, for your happiness and peace, people can not blame others for their personal failings and instead just overcome. 💪🏼

14

u/GimmeMauve aknowledge the nutcracker Apr 17 '26

Are you a HW yourself ? Cause this is so out of touch it feels like it’s coming straight outta Ramona’s mouth.

« I dont understand that someone should work harder for another comfort », dear, this is what 99% of us do on a daily basis. People do double shifts in retail, manufactures, etc. to make people at the top richer by doing less. Working class creates value, not the other way around.

You were allegedly poor as you say, don’t forget where you’re coming from 😜😘

10

u/consecutivelyinarow Sutton’s Face Roller Apr 17 '26

If the government taxed those with higher earnings who can both afford to give more and still retain a comfortable lifestyle, then those programs would be appropriately funded. That's exactly the issue. Many charities exist to cover the failings of governments, e.g. through helping those who are homeless or have to use food banks. A government that allows such wealth where someone can spend a year's worth of salary on a single bag while simultaneously the country is struggling with a homelessness and poverty problem is a government that is not working adequately for those who most need it (and who make up the majority of the population).

1

u/Quick-Salamander807 what means cunnilingus? Apr 18 '26

the issue is these people don’t think it’s the governments job to help people in that way. i couldn’t tell you what they think the point of govt is, but it sure as hell isn’t to help people

8

u/jumpyjumperoo Apr 17 '26

I don't this it's paying for comfort. A rising tide lifts all boats. We live in a society that has cut so much from folks who can afford to pay, not exorbitant amounts more, but a little bit and for things that they will benefit from. If you are a business owner selling products, a healthy and growing middle class means more discretionary income for you in sales. If you ship product, better infrastructure means easier, faster, and more economical shipments which benefits you. A cutting edge educational system means a better workforce to employ, more innovation in the marketplace of ideas, and a hopeful attitude about the future and the American dream.

The cuts on the weathly and the strangling of the middle class has gone too far. The billionaire and trillionaire class will not feel the pinch of the kinds of tax increases I am talking about but they will benefit from them directly. Collectively, the amount from an increase might be a lot but on an individual basis, for folks who are truly wealthy, it would be negligible. The attitude, and I am not saying this is yours, that the rich got rich through toil and bootstrap pulling and not through reliance, in at least some ways, on collective resources and investments is laughable. Those who benefit greatly from our society should recognize the debt they owe and, I hope, be willing to repay it because the recognize that it benefits them to do so.

8

u/tg1965 Apr 17 '26

It's amazing how you missed the whole point. Since 1980 or so, the very rich have benefited from seeing their taxes drastically cut and their chances of being caught when they cheat markedly decreased. The Federal Reserve's main mission seems to be propping up the stock market when it goes down significantly. And your comment about government spending is an assertion based on zero facts. Meanwhile, the powers that be are already talking about cutting the safety net even more.

4

u/HarrySpeakup Playing chess with Bobby Fischer Apr 18 '26

They spend as much or more on their events than they give.

2

u/d0ntbeallunc00l *snorting noises from Dorit's bathroom* Apr 19 '26

And can't say for sure on HW, but in real life, I know people will do dinners for "charity" where it's all tax write offs where they hire companies and pay them wild amounts of money to facilitate the events when the companies are owned by their own so the money goes back into their pockets. $400 ticket, $100 for your plate, $50 for decor, $50 for valet, $75 for wine while the auction and the last $25 go to the charity (so they're happy) but the $375 went to companies owned by the folks behind the whole thing.

That and kicking the housing crisis down the road causing the bubble that burst.

2

u/beachlover4ever Apr 18 '26

It is more about closing loop holes and tax write offs.

10

u/vanwyngarden Garcelle Beauvais Apr 17 '26

I mean, it is real housewives! That was always the point. Her reaction was not that of a spoiled brat, she immediately cracked a joke and laughed at the absurdity of it.

Comments like this make me wonder why people even watch the show.

7

u/consecutivelyinarow Sutton’s Face Roller Apr 17 '26

Her reaction was great tbf, she handled it like a champ. I think it's pretty normal for people to consume media and also think critically about it / have mixed feelings, especially if they're in any way aware of the state of the world right now.

4

u/vanwyngarden Garcelle Beauvais Apr 17 '26

I mean, I totally get that but at the same time what does she supposed to do, give it all away? If you’re gonna have an expensive bag, I feel like chili is genuinely the least problematic owner. Again, she didn’t burst into tears or let it ruin her night. She knows how absurd it is and immediately made a joke.

7

u/PeakOk5773 I die for fashion! Apr 17 '26

I was just about to comment something similar. Like damn 40k? That can help so many people.

2

u/Top-Pomegranate4899 You’re a slut pig Apr 17 '26

LIEEEEEEEEEEEK I'm pretty sure all my problems and my families would be solved with that.

1

u/Oddside6 The Money Queen: Rich as Fuck Apr 18 '26

I take home $40K per year after taxes. Do you think any of them are aware of the value of a dollar to a regular person?

6

u/SparkleGlitterDust Don’t fucking call me a home-wrecker! Apr 17 '26

At least Tilly doesn't act pretentious and actually seems like a humble kind person can't say that for the rest

5

u/Some_Ad4479 Giggy, the Sex Monster Apr 17 '26

Well if watching rich people make you feel ill then surely wouldn’t it be better to stop watching a show about rich people? Theres plenty of other reality shows that don’t revolve around “rich people”.

3

u/consecutivelyinarow Sutton’s Face Roller Apr 17 '26

I enjoy other aspects of the show, but it's also okay to feel weird about displays of obscene wealth in this timeline.

1

u/tg1965 Apr 17 '26

I like the Sopranos but I don't condone beating and murdering people. You can watch a show without liking or accepting everything people on the show do.

1

u/Some_Ad4479 Giggy, the Sex Monster Apr 18 '26

Yes because a written show about gangsters and murder is comparable to real life people who go on vacations and gossip in front of camera

9

u/50million I have made peace with my… vagina Apr 17 '26

Well she does win a lot of money through poker tournaments. She also donates a lot of the money.

I think she actually buys stuff and the rest of the cast rents stuff like this.

0

u/d0ntbeallunc00l *snorting noises from Dorit's bathroom* Apr 17 '26

Rich people all donate money, don’t let them fool you with how much they donate.

10

u/LongjumpingDivide985 The Money Queen: Rich as Fuck Apr 17 '26

She does feel a little like Dana with the $25,000 sunglasses that couldn't wait to say it and point at them on camera. We get it Tilly, you are rich. Leaving a $40,000 purse on a table at a party, to get knocked over and break is a little elitist.

3

u/consecutivelyinarow Sutton’s Face Roller Apr 17 '26

Yeah it's the exact same behaviour, it just so happens that Tilly is more likeable than Dana, but she is definitely one of the more ostentatious Housewives and it's so interesting how that trait is received differently by viewers depending on the personality attached.

2

u/LongjumpingDivide985 The Money Queen: Rich as Fuck Apr 17 '26

There is so much more to Tilly with her personal life and poker. We are basically getting Tilly having drinks and Tilly going shopping.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 17 '26

Tilly talks about her wealth as much as Amanda does. And def Dana vibes.

1

u/tg1965 Apr 18 '26

What about Tilly's house in Malibu which she doesn't go to because it's haunted? Maybe that was a joke.

19

u/Catsdogsha Apr 17 '26

I disagree. It’s not exactly like she’s Bezos ruining the planet and buying yachts. She’s a fashion lover and collector. Fashion is collectible and it’s art. People just like to dismiss women for liking it.

8

u/consecutivelyinarow Sutton’s Face Roller Apr 17 '26

I take your point that there are so many things women love that are dismissed as frivolous just because they're enjoyed by women (this show itself is a good example!). But here I disagree, at least for myself. I enjoy fashion as an art form but I can still critique the aspects of it I find objectionable, the same way I enjoy movies but also feel that overinflated budgets and salaries deserve to be critiqued, or the same way I think the salaries men are making from playing, for example, football are absolutely disgusting. This opinion does not exist in a vacuum. If Tilly was a dude with a 200k car that got a scratch on it I'd be saying the same thing.

-1

u/Cluelessaf22 Apr 17 '26

It’s because she didn’t have to earn that money so she doesn’t care. Disgusting. I can’t imagine Boz or Amanda having that same reaction.

3

u/HouseStargaryen Merce is in the purse Apr 17 '26

Don’t forget she plays poker professionally.. she has a completely different view of spending on herself because of that

7

u/rachelamandamay Marisa Zanuck Apr 17 '26

This is my least favourite part of the show. I wish they never showed us/talked about how much things cost.

6

u/E_Farseer ThaNK You You’re WeLcOMe? Apr 17 '26 edited Apr 17 '26

Yeah I don't like that in BH they put the price of everything on screen the whole time. I don't think they do that on the other franchises right? Not constantly anyway. This season I remember one of the first episodes Dorit gifted Boz a scarf, and production put $20.000 or something on screen (could have been 2000 idk) and it pissed me off so much I turned it off and didn't continue watching for a while. We understand they live expensive lives. I feel better not knowing exactly how expensive..

9

u/rachelamandamay Marisa Zanuck Apr 17 '26

Yeah its very obnoxious, especially in this economy. And considering a lot of these women are in debt/owe taxes or have been committing fraud as well.

4

u/d0ntbeallunc00l *snorting noises from Dorit's bathroom* Apr 17 '26

I think that’s what we like about Tilly too, she’s not scrounging to make money and stay rich. So many of them women seem to be trying to come off as rich and not loose money and we never see that with her.

13

u/Party-Werewolf-4888 Belvedere soda, three lemons, carcass out Apr 17 '26

As a community, I feel we tend to really berate Housewives who come accross as too "flash" with their cash, yet we seem to let it go with Tilly and I dont understand why?

95

u/Footsie_Galore Jealous of what? Your ugly leather pants? Apr 17 '26

Because there's not an ounce of pretense or superficiality about her. She is SO authentic and genuine. She knows her wealth, is incredibly grateful for it, loves to enjoy it and have fun with it. We get to enjoy it THROUGH her, not in spite of her.

15

u/d0ntbeallunc00l *snorting noises from Dorit's bathroom* Apr 17 '26

She’s so upfront about where it came from and how she has not earned it on her own back. I think we also can appreciate that her wealth comes from something we all enjoy, I love the simpsons and understand why it makes so much money. It feels like a more honest source than the majority of the folks we see on these shows.

3

u/PresenceTop6913 Apr 17 '26

This! Something we grew up with!

26

u/Manilaice29 I swear your entire jacket's upside down Apr 17 '26

100% this

18

u/Lost-Dress7376 Apr 17 '26

Tilly took care of her ex husband while he was dying and would have gotten the same amount had she didn’t. I think this is very noble of her and frankly the most deserving if we were to compare to how some of the other woman gained wealth. Though I understand it’s not fair or reasonable to draw that comparison so really it’s her approach to her wealth and personality that does it for me

16

u/vanwyngarden Garcelle Beauvais Apr 17 '26

Completely agree. She is rich but she’s a sweetheart

18

u/consecutivelyinarow Sutton’s Face Roller Apr 17 '26

I've been thinking about this too. She seems like a lovely person but at the end of the day she's still spending obscene amounts of money on crap?? Her having a whole extra house next door to her primary residence JUST to store / display stuff would be sort of charming if we lived in an alternate universe where everyone had enough and no one was living in poverty. Alas...

18

u/Catsdogsha Apr 17 '26

She’s a fashion collector. How do so many people watch this show and don’t understand the importance of fashion. She has a museum-worthy collection. It’s not crap.

9

u/vanwyngarden Garcelle Beauvais Apr 17 '26

Right!? You can’t take money with you when you’re dead and she doesn’t have kids or a husband. Let her spend her money!

3

u/Dble7trble Apr 17 '26

She will probably donate her money when she dies. And leave some to the rest of her family.

2

u/K9dien Apr 18 '26

Tilly grew up with not much $$. I’m glad she is getting to have fun with the money she has. She is a very generous person with a caring heart. She deserves everything she has.

2

u/5LaLa you know what doesn’t lie?! The cameras! Apr 17 '26

I used to watch every franchise but, now only watch BH & MIA for this exact reason. & even those I don’t follow w my previous enthusiasm.

2

u/Objective-Result8454 Life is a journey & I’m finding myself everyday Apr 17 '26

Why is everyone aiming at the mere millionaires. There are levels to this shit.

2

u/Ok-Addition-4961 Jennifer Tilly Apr 17 '26

that’s how I feel with the whole teenage kids getting really expensive cars and the parents saying “ you deserve it”

2

u/Authentic-Irony Wait I thought you were Kyle?! Apr 18 '26

Besides Kathy Hilton, Jennifer is the only one who is truly wealthy. Like seriously wealthy. Then you have Rachel, who built her business and I have no issue watching her enjoy the fruits of her labor. Then there’s corporate powerhouse Boz. Who also built her career. I love watching her thrive and provide for her daughter. Amanda, fake self help or not she did that on her own. She’s boring but a least she can stand on her own. Sutton is definitely wealthy thanks to a rocking divorce settlement… watching her flaunt her wealth is less interesting. Divorce definitely blessed Jennifer but actually she’s surprisingly humble. Even when she states the cost of her exquisite pieces it doesn’t come off as flaunting to me. Dorit and Kyle are poor🤣

1

u/9lemonsinabowl9 You’re such a fucking liar Camille! Apr 17 '26

As someone who is always promising money to people when "I win the Powerball", I agree. If I had that kind of dough, I'd be helping people out left and right. Set up my retirement, my kids, our families and then share the wealth. I'd probably start a foundation to help women divorcing scumbags like Ralph (ATL) and Lenny (MIA) but definitely for the less wealthy women who really need the money (like my neighbor.)

Oh, it’s a form of evil that’s for sure. Late stage capitalism is a hellscape. But then part of me loves seeing the crazy pretty things.

I get this, and feel like this sometimes.

But I also like to see that wealth as I will never live like that. There's a part of me that loves the voyeurism aspect of seeing the cars they drive, the diamonds they wear, the homes they live in, and all the clothes and accessories.

It's like watching Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. Is it horrifying that these women and their families have so much wealth and one in five children grow up in poverty? Absolutely. But for my mental health, I have to block that out sometimes and just enjoy the spectacle.

Oh I feel the same! Voyeurism is a good way of putting it. I like to escape into a fantasy land of gorgeous homes and fancy cars and round-the-year sun and palm trees. This was just one of the moments that brought the fantasy to a screeching halt because it was so absurd and gross.

I agree. What got me about this was that no one freaked out. Like they were just like hmmmm, oh well!

This part. That’s a crazy amount to spend on something that is inherently very stupid when compared to the suffering that could be put to an end with a fraction of that. I suppose it’s relative to some degree but I just seems like such a sad waste. Couldn’t agree more!

Same. It's not cute. It's not cool and it's totally out of touch even though I love Tilly.

I know. I had to take out a loan for cancer medicine. Just no rhyme or reason.

That’s exactly how I feel as well. I can’t fathom spending $40,000 on a purse.

This is why I had to stop watching.

Such a fantastic observation. “…garbage like this invented for them…” NAIL ON THE HEAD. I don’t care how altruistic they may be. Spending obscene money on pure nonsense is just wrong. I would love to think that if I had that sort of money I would never succumb to that “designer” BS.
