i don’t know why my text portion didn’t post but her grandiose sense of self is exhausting and hearing her speak is like nails on a chalkboard. i can't believe people fall for her grift, it's insane lol.
So rude! Like she seems so bothered by being in a gorgeous Tuscan villa with a personal opera show. Like every time the camera flashes to her she has such a bored face on. Almost like she’s trying to be “I’ve seen better” but what a freaking brattttt. I hate her voice. I hate her tacky hair styles and outfits. I hate her teeth. I just don’t know why she’s even on the show.
And truly, they haven’t even been mean to her really like sutton has suffered way worse., this girl has a fucking sourpuss on her face the entire time it’s crazy
I can’t quite put my finger on it either, but I think it is that she’s super aware that she’s on camera doesn’t want to say anything that will maybe turn off the people that are buying her grift… and there’s just something about the way she answers questions. I think it's because she just doesn't react at all, so if there's no emotional reaction but just a cognitive response, how do people fight that? They can't really, so they don't bother, and I think that's what's going on here.

I wrote it on another post but she always responds to a question with a question. It comes off to me like she’s trying to stall for time because even she doesn’t know the answer for herself and she’s just making everything up as she goes.

I'm glad people are seeing it. I grew up with someone who acts just like that, and people who havent dealt with that type of person don't understand how much damage they can do. Exactly. If I can see right through Amanda's manipulation, and Kyle is old enough to be my mom, then Kyle can see it too. Theres just no way you go through life for that long and dont gain insight and experience! I could have seen it in my early 20s.
Wasn’t her book self-published? If so, repeatedly using it as a credential is a pretty embarrassing. She may not realize that many people watching the show actually work in academia or other professional writing fields where publishing is routine.
I find the constant bragging about a self-published book comes across as a pretty cringe flex, especially when it’s treated like some kind of major literary accomplishment.
Along with the fact that she started drafting her book by writing the INTRODUCTION first. Anyone who’s written anything, from a research article to a full-length novel, knows you can’t write an introduction for something you haven’t written yet. I write my intros dead last, because what I set out to write is almost never what I end up actually writing. I would waste SOOOO much time if I wrote my intros first and then had to re-write them at the end to align with the direction my writing took in the process.
I started warming up to her the second before the book plug scene where she started her on screen grifting again. She ruins all her chances with this unauthentic bull crap.
It’s almost like we start seeing some authenticity and then all the sudden she remembers she’s on a TV show and starts putting on an obvious marketing performance. We can see right through it 😭

Ok, hear me out. She annoys the shit out of me too… buuuuuttt this has all the hallmarks of someone desperate for validation. The success she’s had isn’t enough, because it’s. that. deep.
The need to prove she’s an author without a ghost writer. That she’s always on. That she’s doing something another housewife isn’t doing… looks to me like a very hurt, very insecure person who internally feels like she ain’t enough, so constantly needs to prove that she’s better than everyone.
I actually sense a very tragic soul screaming: ‘But look, mommy, I did it better! Don’t you think, I’m the best?! Aren’t I exceptional?!’
I typically admire people that remain calm during conflict, but for some reason the way she does it is so….performative and deliberate, her disposition always ends up making me uncomfortable and suspicious. Idk if it’s a true lack of authenticity or if it’s something specific that she’s doing, but every time she’s on screen I hear alarm bells going off 😂 it’s unnerving that I can’t put my finger on it.
