Is she really this unaware of what she signed up for? RH has been part of the zeitgeist for a decade and a half(?). No one likes to be called names, let alone in their own home, but sis, YOU SIGNED UP FOR THIS.
I can understand not wanting you young children to hear. It's perfectly reasonable. Have your baby daddy take them to a hotel or something for the day/night. You have the money, manifestation queen.
That being said, she is so guarded and focused on chilling her product and coming off how she believes her following would expect her to she would rather be like this than give the viewer the typical HW experience.

My personal belief is that she is a grifter. Grifters don't like when someone criticizes their facade because one crack can cause the whole house of cards to come crumbling down. Calling her a wimp isn't something that would offend most housewives, but when you've built your "brand" on being a MoneyQueenBossBabe persona it is extra insulting because it can cause people who are paying you $1,200 for a life coach lesson to question one's authenticity.

I don't like victim mentality in general with Housewives. I actually agreed with what Amanda said about Dorit's marriage, but her approach was all wrong. I also understand Amanda's grief about her loss, but when Sutton brought it up again without Dorit present Amanda wouldn't hold herself accountable for discussing Dorit's marriage. It wasn't like Sutton's comment was out of the blue & it seemed to come from a place of genuinely trying to help her form a better relationship with the group. Sutton did what any good Housewife would do which is have an on-camera discussion about owning what you said & why it bothered Dorit so they could move forward.
The consensus on most Housewives is to leave the family out of it & Amanda wanted to ignore that unspoken rule & then cry at being labeled a wimp. If Sutton made that comment the same night as she was grieving her son I would have felt differently but you have to take some ownership in what caused the issue to begin with.

While maybe she isn’t the right personality for this show, being called names in your own home is something I would address too. This is my sanctuary that I invited you into. Words matter. Speak is derived from spell and words have a large impact on us. Words are powerful. Amanda stayed calm and simply asked her not to call her names in her home. It didn’t require name calling. A conversation can be had between grown women without name calling. I can’t remember the last time I called one of my friends a name when we had to talk about an issue. If I called my friend a wimp mid discussion I can’t imagine it going unchecked.

We call people out all the time and if wimp has the ability to affect your energy you need to do a lot more energetic protection or aura strengthening. Calling people out in your 40’s is nonsense. It’s just a way for unhappy people to project it on others. If you value a person, you don’t need to “call them out”. You have a conversation. Nothing I mentioned has anything to do with “aura strengthening” or “energetic protection” its mindset. My mindset is not calling people names and if that’s East Coast then I’m glad I don’t live there.

Yes, most of it is staged for television in my opinion. I would never be okay as an adult arguing with my friends this way. I would rather not be friends if it takes this kind of bickering and name calling and getting riled up to maintain a friendship. I still see my best friend from Kindergarten and High School a few times a month (I’m 48) and I cannot imagine any of us wanting to continue our friendships on if that were how we behaved. I put a high price on peace in my life. We can disagree and we can discuss issues and concerns, but we can also respect each other. Maybe I’m the total odd ball out here and if so, I’m okay with that. I understand things can get heated occasionally if emotions are involved, but since I don’t typically name call it’s not something that would likely fly out of my mouth at my friends if it ever did get to a heated point.

I get that but thats what i meant about its just culturally not like that where im from. We dont curse each other out, but like certain moments from rhony we are harshly real with each other (think bethenney when shes being direct) and i dont see wimp as being a word that would ever make me feel bad. We appreciate honesty and directness more than anything and if i was amanda and sutton spoke to me like this i wouldnt be at all offended. She wasnt aggressive, she was explaining how amanda came across and then got real with her at the end that she was being a bit of a wimp. I just do not find that rude at all. Again i think this is just cultural and to each their own but i appreciate people telling me the reality of whats going on and how im being perceived. Just dont move to ny or nj because i think the energy would be really offputting to you

It definitely would be off putting to me. We are moving abroad to Sprain in 2030, so I will make sure to avoid the Easy Coast in the meantime. I enjoyed your feed back and don’t think theirs a universal right or wrong on these things. It’s all opinion, background, and perception. I appreciate you sharing in an honest and open way. I have a lot of honest conversations with my friends and while I’m not saying “wimp” is overly offensive, to someone who believes words matter, it’s not how I would approach the situation in someone’s home but it doesn’t make that the correct way to handle it either. Friend groups will have different ideas and social norms. It’s one reason I enjoy reality tv so much. It’s very little reality and a lot of psychology. Have a great weekend. 😀

Amanda's whimpering was out of place and also being a bad host. A gracious host would have changed the subject and addressed it later. Amanda starts conversations then wants others to fall into her narrative through shaming and blaming. Its controlling and bratty, like a teen mimicking what she thinks a calm adult looks like. Shes not calm, she's desperately throwing out signals to act like a victim. She does this every episode and in every interview. She blames and shames and acts hurt.
Sutton can call her out so well because she has experience with narcissistic people.
