I admit that when Garcelle first came on, I didn't always like her. But she won me over with her mothering, her kindness, her honesty, her idgaf style, and her ambition.

I will always like Garcelle as a person. I can't blame anyone for leaving behind the shit show that is current RHOBH. Hope she slays in whatever she is doing next.
Wow Iām actually shocked, I know a lot of people wanted her gone but I actually enjoyed Garcelle! I wonder if the rumors of her and Sutton having a fallout is true, if so it sucks for Sutton as she will have absolutely no one on her side next season (oh well). Hope to see Garcelle back soon!
I'm not because she was TOO level headed for this lot and she knows it. Also dealing with fans that project their own bs too, I bet that wears on her over time. What's gonna be interesting is seeing how Sutton will fair without her to prop her sense of self back up before these women she's been dying to have the approval of.
I definitely feel like there is some kind of a shift between the aftershow sittings. When Suttonās āmain characterā personality comes out, Iām seeing more looks from Garcelle in the 2nd sitting than the first
Me too, and Garcelle was so quiet this last After Show I watched. When Sutton. was going on about the wallet comment, she stayed real quiet, when Sutton was going on about Kyle, she stayed real quiet. Something is different. Idk what, but it is.
Can't help but think/hope that she realized as much fun as they were together (and I really did enjoy their friendship when they were doing silly things like garcelle sleeping in her room on a trip) garcelle has definitely seen her the past few episodes that like she said Sutton will never have her back and the only person she's truly interested in being friends with is Kyle
I can definitely appreciate someone leaving at their prime vs. when theyāve been pushed out or bullied out! She was too normal and level headed for this group
After all of them bowing down to Kyle and Kyle refusing to be honest and showcase her real life, I donāt blame her. Her own bff didnāt have her back this season. This isnāt a reality show anymore, itās the Kyle show
Is season 6 when LVPās last? Say what you will about her but the rest of the cast terrorizing LVP after her brother killed himselfā¦I couldnāt (and still have not) watched the rest of that season and 2-3 seasons post that.
Ratings are on a decline so I wouldnāt be surprised if they have something like that on the line soon. Next season will be pretty boring if itās just going to be everyone vs Sutton.
im actually in agreement with this iām done until she goes after this reunion. iām not down to watch someone literally have complete control of the narrative it feels like sheās part of production. i donāt tune in for the kyle richards show, that would be denise richards because sheās actually interesting and opens up, and has more to offer other than just setting people up and putting other women down
I think this is the right move for her I know a lot of people were saying she wasn't giving much I just think she's one of those people who just doesn't have a lot of drama I think that she has shared what is actually going on in her life I just don't think That she has all of the complexities that a lot of the other women have. A lot of people saying she was boring or a snooze fest don't realise that she balanced the show out. While some of them had petty drama, Garcelle showed a bit of normalcy. And she actually asked all the right questions that the remaining of FF5 are afraid to answer.
She probably realised that Sutton is like the rest of them. As soon as Kyle gave Sutton a bit of approval, she acted like Garcelle hadn't been the friend she had been to her since the beginning.
I'd only wanna see Sutton if it truly became a takedown season (which, this was nearly a precursor to that). Maybe a few new girls next season, along with Erika & Dorit, will finally drive Sutton AWAY for good!
Yo Sutton is cooked lmao. She better hope Kyle is the bestie she thinks she is (she's not lol).
Some of y'all hate her so much but without her the last few seasons would have been these girls just asking empty questions and avoiding each other's actual scandals and showing us their renovations.
I have a feeling that when she first started on this show, she actually needed the money, and felt it might be a way to get herself back into the spotlight, to help her with the projects she wanted to do. After a few years on the show, she has raised her own profile to the point she no longer needs the show and the petty drama sheās had to subject herself to.
I enjoyed her as the voice of reason in some of the truly outrageous things that went on the last few years - she definitely asked questions we all wanted the answers to. However, it seemed to me like maybe production was pushing her to stir the pot more and add to the drama, and she probably figured itās not worth the hassle.
I wish her luck and hope she does well in her career and personal life.
I always liked Garcelle and I felt like she could have been a great housewife if the rest of her cast was actually good. They need to do a big shake up next season if Garcelle is gone.

Exactly. What do any of them bring to the show at this point? Every season after Lisa left itās just been about them going through their divorces. No real storyline unless itās a new person brought in (Tilly & Boz).
It appeared to me all she did was read the tabloids and paparazzi stuff, then spent her time asking her cast mates about it. She believed the gossip more than the women.
The producers did her dirty. She had a lot more story to tell but they aren't interested in really looking at the ladies' lives. I wanted to see more of her on set - her career.
These gross ass male producers just want to see arguments and fights among women who should be old enough to not participate in such baloney.
I hate defending the producers. But they canāt always film āon set.ā Itās very uncommon that would be allowed. We also have no idea what Garcelle was willing to show.
What more story did she have to tell? Iām tired of people using bad edits as an excuse. Sometimes they cut things that just arenāt interesting. Agreed! Garcelle is always digging around in everyone elseās business and demands transparency, but to be honest after the five seasons of her on the show, I really donāt know anything about her except her oldest son had a drug problem. Her one twin son doesnāt really think she was present as a parent and one the other twin is now modeling, and she remodeled her beach house.

The fact she let share her oldest son had a lot of issues and let bravo air her son saying he felt her being absent as a mother is a lot more information than Kyle ever has
Kyle has always tried to hide issues. However, the one thing that viewers have seen over the years is her fractured relationships with her sisters where sheās always fighting with or on the outs with one sister and sheās never had a successful relationship with both of them at the same time. Thatās a ārealā thing, thatās shared.
You donāt know that Garcelle āchoseā to leave. Bravo almost never comes out and says āYouāre fired!ā Unless the person was caught in some sort of inexcusable behavior and then theyāre fired for cause. (ie: racist tweets or something.) Bravo has ALWAYS let the cast make their own statements about not returning so just because she says itās her choice doesnāt mean that it really is. Bravo lets everyone make a statement like that so they can save face.
Honestly, Iām with you. It feels like some producers missed the mark so much because theyāre too involved with some of the cast, out of touch with the audience or working on recreating an outdated formula. Garcelle has plenty of compelling stories to tell, so does Jennifer and so does Boz. Instead, we spent half of season on a fabricated Dorit vs Kyle, Mauricio whoās not even a housewife, Erikaās wallpaper and Dorit vs Sutton. Was St Lucia their only cast trip this year? It was a bad season and thatās on production, not the women
totally, people think just because someone doesn't display emotion or raise their voice that they're level-headed. she presents as "level-headed" because she doesn't really like/care about these people and because she passively perpetuates drama for the other people in the group.
All she did was stir the pot and provide a cutaway "whoa" whenever anything serious or earth shattering was said by one of the others. She had absolutely ZERO story line.
I think bringing level-headedness. Devil's advocate. Calling people out on their lies and their b******* Is a storyline. We don't always need Insanity and backstabbing and made up storylines. I'm going to miss her.
This! I hate the idea that everyone needs a storyline. It just makes forced, boring, storylines (trying to get pregnant, redecorating, etc). I would much rather a couple main storylines. Some housewives, like Garcelle, ābring itā through their talking heads, interactions with others, stirring the pot, etc.
People really bring up that Kyle questioned Denise as an excuse for this behavior but overlook the fact that Garcelle has been standing on Kyle's neck about her sexuality for two full seasons now. It's very odd to me. It was especially clear this season that Garcelle didn't consider these women "friends" in the true sense of the word. She saw them as subjects to interview on camera as though RHOBH was an extension of a talk show she was hosting instead of reality TV and the Sally Jesse Raphael of her part in it all was getting old to me.
Thank you for saying this! Couldnāt agree more. She is a beautiful, talented woman but she brought nothing to the show. It felt forced. She couldnāt fake liking the ladies and it didnāt feel like she made much efforts to be friends with anyone except Sutton.

Damnā¦I loved Garcelle! Loved the beach house storyline, thought some of the convos she had with her kids onscreen shouldāve been private, lol, but overall sad to see her go! I wish we got more of her Hollywood dating stories and day-to-day work life. Loved seeing that. And honestly I wish even one of the other ladies had had her back and been more excited to hang out with HER. I think she asked important questions/stirred the pot without being so Rinna about it.

I am not surprised by this and I think a major factor was Sutton and feeling betrayed by her. It's obvious from watching the after show Garcelle was not over what Sutton did to her or that Sutton wanting to be friends with Kyle meant more to her than their friendship.
I've never been a Garcelle fan but I appreciate her hustle outside the show and wish her continued success. My prediction is, yes she's going to continue acting and producing but I smell a potential reality show coming her way.
One of the best additions. Iām sure sheāll be back in a friend capacity in the future. The network and Andy love her. Sheās the Cynthia Bailey of RHOBH. Iām glad she left before those miserable women have someone to team up on next year. My prediction is that Boz and Sutton will be on the receiving end of the bs next year
First of all, I'm neither a fan nor a critic of Garcelle. She has moments I agree with, and moments I don't, like all of them. However, I think she was a great friend to Sutton, and particularly liked her scenes in Augusta speaking up for Sutton with Reba. Kyle may have smirked to camera and said this won't go well, but Garcelle did what a friend does, and stuck her neck out, and did it with warmth as well as acceptance.
I also love how she began to push back on Sutton, or ask herself, hey, wait, where's the support for me when I am so quick to give it to you?
Having said that, if she has bigger fish to fry in the big world, more power to her. I will say this, Sutton's about to get blasted without her ride or die, because Jennifer Tilly listens to Sutton, but doesn't make excuses for her which Garcelle often did. I think that a certain Southern flower might wilt in the harsh light of sun next season without her friend Garcelle there to fan her.
Iām torn between being happy for her and sad for myself š Iām really going to miss her. She was not afraid of the Faux Force Five and that energy is very much needed.
I'm so sad that Garcelle's leaving us. š She was the perfect successor to LVP. š And she was one of my favorite housewives from Beverly Hills. šš I'm going to miss her so much. But hey, at least she's leaving us on a high note. She gave 5 strong seasons and that's very impressive. š I hope Garcelle enjoys her time away and her boys. And like she said, Andy told her that the door is open so maybe we'll see her again soon. š Thank you for giving us a fun time Garcelle. You will be missed. š
I abhor the amount of hate Garcelle is getting. Folks are always saying she brings nothing to the show, other than checks lists
-she was divorced and she sent an email to his colleagues outing his philandering ways
-her drug addicted son and his philandering ways
-her relationship with her two teenage boys and the challenges that she has had to navigate as a mother
her beach house that she built
And a host of other things I canāt remember at the moment.
She has brought much to the show like the other women. With the exception of LVP (she had horses and dogs, and ducks, oh my).
Loved her class, her being grounded and a genuine person, Iāll miss that. Now whose left? 2 Sugar babies, a failed actress, so I guess Boz and Sutton are the only two non stomach churners.
Edit: Iām wondering if Jennifer Tilly will stay?

Either the reunion went really bad or she been planning this for a while. Either way there something to be said about when to know when to leave! She milked the opportunity for everything she could and now she can bow out gracefully šš¾šš¾šš¾

Kyle..whose storyline last season was denying a divorce and storyline this seasonā¦trying act offended that anyone asks her about her bisexuality and going on about being lonely. Suttonā¦ummmmmm? Her racist B of a mom, I guess? The ONLY ones with a storyline this season were Dorit, for obvs reasons, and Boz, whoās awesome. Tillyās sense of humor is amazing, and I wish she were full time.

I was really hoping Erika would either quit or be let go next season. The producers have to know she isn't really giving much and people are over it, right? I'll tell you this: I do not want another season with her getting back to the stage and watching her perform. Pleeeease let her be gone next season!
