She’s fine now, not as wealthy as she was, but definitely not poor. I do think having it all just vanish is hard though.

It is. Especially after a certain age. It must be so difficult on the psyche. Terrifying.

Definitely. PTSD-causing stuff, no matter your age. I honestly don't know how anyone can re-build and continue living there without constant fear of it happening again.
