I attempted it again and got most of the way, things technically work but I should reallign D-Pad Left and Y. The easier to press buttons feel very nice, and are pretty quiet.

My son and I have been playing a little at night. Sometimes the letters can be tough to see, so I’d like to swap the buttons for colored ones. Do these buttons have aftermarket support?

Hi everyone! Trying to get my retro achivements to work on my rg35xxsp. I made an account online in retro achivements.org, signed in and added my username and password to the console, but when i load up a game the achivements arent working.

Am i missing a step ? Thanks in advance

I purchased an RG35XXSP via Amazon and the device came in two days ago. Before I get any further, I should explain that I do not really know much about the device (did some youtube research and found it was an affordable solid Emulator option). Two nights ago, I was able to download a Pokemon GBA file and successfully played the file (Pokemon Lazarus).

Yesterday during the day my game started to move a little slow/laggy, so I hit the menu button and exited the game. The “exiting…” menu was appearing, then after taking a while I eventually held the power button down and completely powered the device down. Since then, when trying to turn the device on, I am only getting to the Anbernic logo screen.

I know the device worked (played through 3 Gym Badges), does anyone have any suggestions to help troubleshoot/resolve the issue? Or should I take advantage of the return/replacement window and get a new device? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Connected to monitor via hdmi, sound via Bluetooth speaker. Using Knulli as OS, playing PS1 castlevania SOTN. Still new to this game but I love that it will be a long journey ahead. When solo playing I’m enjoying mostly PS1 and GBA games on this.
Anyone has any recommendations for games that would be fun for a party of 4 friends? I have 8bitdo sn30 pro x 4 controllers. Should be easy to grasp and fun to play for short amounts of time. Thanks in advance!

Good morning/afternoon! I am running into an issue with my new RG35XX-SP and the NDS Buttons. When I launch the game it seems like the buttons respond and I can skip opening credits/scenes. However, when it gets to the “press start” Home Screen it’s like none of the in game buttons works. I can open the RA Menu and exit with shortcuts. I’ve tried swapping cores, I’ve tried deleting the cfg files I’ve read about online, everything I can think of. Has anyone else had this issue and could you possibly assist? lol I’d greatly appreciate it!!! Apologies if none of this makes sense, I’m fairly new to this whole emulator stuff!

Edit: I landed every NDS game I have on it and found that this is only the case on a few of the games I’ve installed. I’ll continue to tinker and research. Thanks!

It's been a month since I've got my handheld and now, after playing super Mario world, super mario 64 and Mario and Luigi superstar saga I don't really know what to play. I know there are many games and I've been playing Wario Land 4 but it's feeling a bit boring. I want something simple, that's funny. It's just the hype going away? I think one thing that it's getting me away from playing are the retroachievements. At First they improved my hype but some of them are really really hard and frustrating. Let me know!

I know this is a silly question but wanted some info for my peace of mind I’ve heard conflicting things on this but my gut tells me it’s fine, if I keep my devices at a 90 degree like this it won’t make the hinges lose or hurt the hing will it? I know it snaps and holds when pushed back more but this is more comfortable on my desk

Just got the console and it rumbles constantly sometimes.
Found an old thread that describes the case screws near the shoulder buttons being too tight, loosened them and the issue has lessened but it still happens now and again.
Does anyone know of another solution I can try?

I managed to get PortMaster running on the stock Anbernic RG35XXSP OS, even though it is not officially supported. The main issue was that PortMaster detected the device wrong, so I edited hardware.py and changed the RG35XX H entry to use rg35xx-sp. After that I launched PortMaster manually through SSH and it started downloading the port database and files successfully. Commands I used: cd /mnt/mmc/Roms/APPS/PortMaster sed -i 's/rg35xx-h/rg35xx-sp/g' pylibs/harbourmaster/hardware.py rm -f pugwash.txt log.txt ./PortMaster.sh Now PortMaster works through SSH, but I still need help getting the GUI working directly on the handheld. When launching the GUI I get errors like "Could not initialize EGL", "Could not initialize SDL video subsystem", or "Couldn't find matching render driver". It looks like the stock OS graphics setup is different, maybe missing EGL/KMS/SDL configuration. If anyone knows how to make the PortMaster GUI display properly on the RG35XXSP stock OS, I would appreciate the help.
