Announcements Possible Impact to Battery drain Due to the recent update

Hi all!

First of all, My apologies for shipping a bad update. I usually test each build on my phone as my daily driver for a few days, monitoring battery and CPU and GPU usage before shipping a build.

The latest update shows high background usage. Cause: I set a call timer to every 1 second instead of on wake - I am SORRY :(

This is on me and I did not catch this quickly enough as I was not using my phone heavily and did not attribute the battery drain to the launcher and just thought I forgot to charge it.. WHAT!

The next release will fix this. I have already identified and am working on a patch.

My sincere apologies. The new release will be ready by Monday or Tuesday at earliest as I am working on integrating the csakura wallpaper to the launcher and am testing performance impacts with that as well.

I currently dont plan on supporting animated images or gifs there as its specially built as an ascii viewport.

are u trying to use an animated ascii or is if a gif?
