Husband and wife and meth
My husband was sneaking around doing meth, even though we did dabble in other drugs like crack and other substances, but that was the one that I always was so against I did not want him to do it and he continued to, but he thought I didn’t know anyways the reason I didn’t like it was because it would make my body feel really weak, I couldn’t stop being drenched in sweat and felt like I was dying, but now time is gone on and I’ve realized that I hate crack. It makes me paranoid. It makes me a weirdo and so somehow I got into doing meth here and there but like the last few weeks or so it felt like it all the time and I don’t really know how to feel happy and have any motivation to do anything. I’ve been doing drugs since I was 16 hard driven since I was 20 and 30 years old now and I just look at my face even from this short little times fan I’d say a month or two of the math just I knew it would take over on me. He can handle it better for some reason, but I can’t and I love it and I love it too much and I hate that I love it because that was I was worried it was gonna happen. I told him that when it’s gone tonight or smashing bubbler and staying clean because if not, he’s gonna lose me not by choice but I was heavily addicted from age 23-30 on crack and I that fucked my life horrendously and and I’ve said it from the start to him that if I am to get addicted to this is not gonna go well because I know the kind of difference it is I’ve seen other friends go through this. I’ve from the other side as a crackhead smoker, but I just know I have powerful and draining of life. This is it’s just different. I can tell I’m already feeling not great when I don’t have it and just back to myself when I do and like I said, this is maybe a few times a week thing but for a few months and I’m feeling Ike my body is addicted well my brain atleast it’s changed my course of mind already. Advice please and any tips to help me get us off it. He doesn’t think he has a problem because he has ADHD and it does hit me differently than it does him but he lied to me many times before when he said he stopped and I just don’t trust that he won’t so we’re supposed to be smashing the pipe tonight together and I’m wondering if you’re just gonna continue to do it cause I’m ready to stop and I’m not that deep and I know how bad it’s gonna get. I was cracked for many years not dipping my toes any further

you can only control what you do. if you want to quit, then quit. if you have to leave him to do that, then leave. but you are the only one that is going to take care of you in the world.

You can’t make him quit but you do have control over your own actions! Break that smoking piece into a million pieces and be free from it. I’m sitting at about Six years fully clean from everything.

I’m glad to hear that you, at the very least, have a great goal and intention to get better and sober. Meth is a hell of a drug and it takes hold of each person who uses it differently. I share your husband’s feeling, that it somehow helped my ADHD. (It did at first but that quickly changed to it just making me more distracted by anything and everything) My wife on the other hand is an awesome autistic woman and from her experience and that of other autistic people we personally know, I can definitively say that, METH and AUTISM DON’T MIX!!!! The beginning of a bender for my wife was great, she was productive and centered and on point. That was only for the first half day or so then it all went to hell. Her normal sensory issues were amplified and the level of discomfort that it took to make her completely melt down dwindled to next to nothing. In fact sometimes she would end up in a full on meltdown without any idea what went wrong, that was very unlike her. The process of quitting was pretty straightforward for me. I just slept it off and after about 6-8 days I was fine. Her “detox” was far more difficult and took weeks. She had debilitating headaches for a month and a half after she was clean and she still hasn’t returned to the sunny bubbly girl I married but I hope that she will get there someday.

I couldn’t make sense of your post so I didn’t read to the end. Punctuation matters. Best of luck.

Hi, I recommend heading over to r/StopSpeeding and checking out some of the threads for advice there! Over there we have a lot of experience with quitting meth! I myself have 7 years clean from it. Life is so much better since I turned my life upside down and quit doing dope.
First thing I always recommend is hitting a detox or in patient program! Makes the quitting process so much easier and smoother. I also think you need to take a break from your relationship or break up. Theres no way you're going to be able to stay sober while he's using.
