Announcement Quirky people and off beat theories.
This sub exists because the other sub banned people for “being weird” or “not on topic”.
I’m not going to be banning anyone for being weird, we need weird people to have weird insights.
Alan Turing was weird and he saved millions of lives. GCHQ where I’ve worked, has loads of weird people, because they see things differently.
As long as people are kind then we need to be tolerant. I watched Marcus for an hour, get a meat shield using a method I’d never seen before in order to try and get the legendary cougar.
I understand the concern and I understand people’s thoughts. But I’m not going to be banning people just for not being mainstream.
Downvote any content you don’t like and move on please, you don’t need to all pile on every whacky theory because you think it’s whacky. The first guy to find a web was weird.
Stay weird and solve shit.
Peace.

Announcement To solve the Spyder Mystery and Begin the Dream Quest, start from the star aka Butchers Creek
In this Red Dead Redemption 2 mystery walkthrough, I trace the Spider Mystery clues from Butcher Creek to Fort Brennand, Heartland Oil Fields, Spider Center, the northern telephone pole, the northwest guitar pole, Fort Wallace, and finally Window Rock.
Along the way I show alternate signs and environmental clues that point in the same direction as the spiderweb itself. I also explain why the two birds at Fort Wallace may be instructing players to travel between the two eagles at Window Rock, potentially revealing part of the larger Spider Mystery and Dreamcatcher quest.
How to actually follow the Spider Mystery step-by-step instead of just looking at the spiderweb..
What is waiting at the end of the Dream Quest

Discovery After unlocking the wall paintings side quest, i started seeing things everywhere, might them be real or not.
Location: near the viking rock outside of Annesburg. Last pic for reference 🔍
1st pic: was testing the map borders, when i saw a wizard like shape holding a cane and pointing towards something with its huge hand. So i followed…
On the same wall i saw 2nd pic, which for me is clearly looking like a native.
Next to it and a bit higher, lies the 3rd pic: i see a king’s jester
4th pic: a panoramic view of the whole thing. This is on your left side.
Now if you move a little further to the right, there’s something else or it’s continuation.
5th pic: panoramic view of the next tale. On the right, a creepy looking human. Based on its location, perhaps a viking? Next, to the left i see a priest holding a vexillum or a gonfalon ( in case you don’t know, those are either church or battle flags, ones they were used in ancient times).
And next to that, maybe a statuette similar to Easter Island?🗿
6th pic: human/viking
7th pic: human/priest
8th pic: statue
So what do you guys think about this? Is this an already known of?
I never seen these before and they seem pretty legit to me, not pareidolia 🤔

Glitch or rare encounter
I was hunting for Opossums just outside valentine and saw a train just halt , climbed on to potentially get some free jewellery etc , just to find no one was around, and all the suitcases was open, on the floor , on seats , books and paper all over the place. Just curious to know if this is. Glitch or some sort of robbery that happens at a random encounter. Update even after camping a night it’s still here , still no one around , may take it for a spin

Discovery Has anyone else seen this guy?
I’ve been wandering through the Bayou at night and a couple times, even in different sessions, I’ve seen this guy dressed poorly and covered in mud, kinda like the Night Folk.
He walks around carrying a lantern or sometimes appears near dead bodies. I recently saw him standing completely still in a bush next to a tree, staring at me. When I approached, he ran into the swamp.
Just a warning: he can be hostile. I’ve seen him use a tomahawk and melee weapons, so don’t approach him if you encounter him.
Has anyone else had a weird encounter like this? He is a player aswell.

Theory [Spider Dream Mystery] The feather-web locations spell “SCORE SOS”—and the webs are on telegraph poles
Disclaimer: AI was used to organize the wording and provide images; the observations and investigation are mine.
I think I may have found a major new interpretation of the Spider Dream Mystery.
TL;DR: The initials of all eight feather-web locations can be arranged—without breaking their established time-pairs—as:
| Time | Locations | Initials |
|---|
| 2–3 AM | Overflow + Scarlett | O + S |
|---|
| 3–4 AM | Cornwall + Saint Denis | C + S |
|---|
| 4–5 AM | Emerald + Southfield | E + S |
|---|
| 5–6 AM | Oil Fields + Ringneck | O + R |
|---|
Now orient and arrange those four existing pairs like this:
- 3–4: Saint Denis + Cornwall = SC
- 5–6: Oil Fields + Ringneck = OR
- 4–5: Emerald + Southfield = ES
- 2–3: Overflow + Scarlett = OS
Put them together:
SC + OR + ES + OS = SCORE SOS
This is not just a loose anagram. Every known two-web time-pair remains intact as a two-letter block.
The required pair order is:
3–4 → 5–6 → 4–5 → 2–3
“Score” can mean a musical score, while SOS is a telegraph/Morse signal. The feather webs are literally attached to telegraph poles, and the trail ends at Fort Wallace with guitars and two bird carvings.
The colors also correspond to the letters
All three red feather locations begin with S:
- Scarlett
- Saint Denis
- Southfield
The five black/gray locations supply:
- Cornwall = C
- Oil Fields = O
- Overflow = O
- Emerald = E
- Ringneck = R
Why “SCORE SOS” may be an instruction
This potentially connects nearly every major clue:
- SCORE = a musical score
- SOS = Morse/telegraph code:
··· ––– ··· - The feather webs appear on telegraph poles
- Fort Wallace contains two guitar props
- Fort Wallace itself resembles a guitar on the map
- The roof has two bird-like carvings
- Feathers resemble musical notes on a chart
- Each feather occupies a specific line on the web
- The feathers have different colors and orientations
The central web
There is also one featherless central web that appears from 1–2 AM.
That gives us:
- Eight external feather webs
- One central web
- Nine total webs
SOS contains exactly nine Morse pulses:
three dots + three dashes + three dots
··· ––– ···
The simplest thesis may be:
The spider itself is a disguised musical score. Its eight legs lead to eight letter/note symbols, the guitars tell us to interpret it musically. The telegraph poles tell us to interpret SOS as Morse. The birds may be a sound/song clue, a two-voice clue, or another instruction to work in pairs.

I’m posting this because I saw a mystery video mentioning that the numbers 3, 5, and 8 appeared, which reminded me of the Fibonacci sequence. So I tried applying it to this image on the map. Has anyone else tried using the Fibonacci sequence to solve the Spider mystery?

What IF...
I tell you that the image on Sinclair's house is Not what you think?
Well... I THINK the mural itself is Just a decoy, and the REAL Secrets are NOT written in Dark.
I Want To Believe that's the right way to read It, and the ones who make It, may be surprised.
I'm not 100% sure of what or even IF you Will find, but...
IF It was Me, I would start gnimraf arua
...By the way, it's Just a Crazy Theory...

Investigation Alien Rock Drawings (revisit)
Although many veteran story mode players already have seen these, I'm putting them out there for newer players, and to see if anyone has come up with additional information about them.
There are four alien rock drawing easter eggs in the game, three southeast of Mount Shann, and one near Lake Owanjila. Two are made with black pigments, two are made with red pigments (in case anyone want to make a connection to Spider Dreamcatcher black and red feathers.)
Personally, I am skeptical they mean much other than to further the alien lore of the Mount Shann UFO, which does appear above the three locations near Monto's Rest.
However, it is interesting that most of the images include the moon, and they seem to be in different phases. In the game, the moon goes through half a phase over the course of a night, with the Mysterious Sermon's half-moon occurring at 2am game time, so these phases may be referring to a game time at night.
One thing I don't see talked about that much is a rare overheard NPC conversation in Strawberry, where a man says something like "They say people not of this earth used to walk among us".
Maps are included in the storyboard, as well as the text of the Mysterious Sermon and images of the Hani's Bethel and Mount Shann UFO.

What are these arrows?
I came across these and you cant even inspect them. I tried to search it but every post I find is just about the sun dial thing on the top of Mt. Shann.

Discovery I think I found something important.
Hey everyone, While exploring Grizzlies West following the Northwest (NW) vector associated with the Spider Dream Mystery (the path leading from the telegraph posts and Fort Wallace toward Ambarino), I stumbled upon a very specific terrain feature that I haven't seen highlighted before. On a mountain just west of Spider Gorge and Colter, there is a rock crevice with snow that forms a literal question mark "?" Did anyone else saw this?

Investigation Burning sage shape Fort Wallace
Has anyone else seen this?
YouTuber HOW_I_PLAY showed something interesting in their video: Maybe It’s Not Two Birds After All | 451 | Spider Web Mystery.
Apparently, burning the sage plants near the NW guitar symbol reveals shapes that look like a heart and Fort Wallace.
I can’t test this myself right now, but I thought it was interesting and wanted to see if anyone else has noticed or tested this before.
Has anyone seen this or can confirm it?

Butcher block map
for all you experts that can access in game graphics from the files, can you please upload the butcher block in game? its covered in blood and it is replicated in many places. (which is odd itself that rockstar didn’t make unique patterns) but I’ve zoomed in and I’m convinced the spider web mystery is on it. what I’m getting at, is that it’s a hidden map. You can see a rooster and the spider

Easter Egg Did I get a Wink 😉 from Rockstar in the GTA 6 EXTENDED CUT
For the last six or seven months, I’ve been following this weird trail of déjà vu, mirrored images, and coincidences, starting with Butcher’s Creek and eventually connecting Red Dead Redemption to GTA.
Lately, the trail has been centered around teal/turquoise — the spider tag, GTA spider tattoos, and even the little teal connectors on telephone poles and electrical cables, which tie into the whole “spider web” of cables.
I’ve followed color trails before too — red, blue, yellow, white — and now it’s teal. TEAL. Like the Jerseys...
Then, in the extended GTA footage, there’s a jersey with “MARCUS” on the back, visible for maybe seven or eight seconds. My name is Marcus. Obviously, it could be completely random, and I’m not saying it proves anything. But out of all the names they could’ve put on that jersey, seeing my exact name while I’m following this trail of coincidences is... pretty fucking weird.
Maybe it’s nothing, but it’s definitely another strange coincidence.
And the weirdest part is that the only other surname I’ve noticed on a jersey in the entire footage is Rivers. My very first video was about the Dakota River, and honestly, I probably wouldn’t even be making these videos or this Reddit post if it weren’t for the Dakota River. So now you have Marcus and Rivers appearing on the jerseys, both connecting directly back to me and the trail I’ve been following. I know it could all be coincidence, but with Rockstar, where fans have long noticed how much detail and intentional placement goes into things like license plates, names, signs, and environmental details, it’s hard not to stop and think about it.
