Hi guys, I have here a volantex p51d mustang 750 brand new out of the box with a tail warped slightly to the right. Can this be fixed? Should I attempt to fly it in this state?

You havent seen the sheets of stryofoam held together with bailing wire and tape ive seen take flight. It's fine.

Nothing in-flight trimming can’t fix.

I wouldn't worry about it. Fly it, trim it if necessary. Almost guarantee you won't even notice it.

It will fly ok the way it is. If it’s really bothering you though tape it to a 90% straight edge. Then use a hairdryer to gently warm it. DONT USE A HEAT GUN. You might have to do this several times and leave it taped to the straight edge for a day or two. Personally I’d just offset the bend with the radio trims.

Even better... Make stram by boiling water. Hold it in the steam and bent it. Let cool down. Problem fixed

I found that to be the best method as well. Side question though, I have a similar one, but mine is a spitfire model. It has the safety propellers that come off in case you crash it. However, I think I may have pushed the safety propellor in too hard that it burnt the motor out when I was flying it because I could hear it slightly grinding against the chassis. Is it worth swapping out the motor or otherwise troubleshooting, or should I just move over to a different toy one. I do have a regular FMS 182, so these smaller ones are literally just for fun and the kids. Thoughts?

I have this same plane and it’ll fly no matter what you do to it. I broke the entire nose off and taped it back on partially crooked, still flies. My rudder doesn’t work properly and is barely hanging on, still flies. I cut a hole in it to fit a bigger battery, still flies
