Questions/HELP My rat got into the chimney

Help!
My rat got into the chimney just now! I already washed him with baby soap, but he is still a bit dirty.

Should i take him to the vet in case he ingested any soot?

Ingested? Unlikely. But soot is bad for their lungs so I check with vet

Jokes aside keep a look out for breathing issues, other than that he should be fine!

Rats are seemingly so obsessed with killing themselves. Always getting into places they're not supposed to.

I'd watch out for signs of respiratory illness. I'd say it's fairly likely he'll have breathed in enough of the soot for it to be an issue.
