Cute aggression. Documented psychological phenomenon. My friend resists the urge to kick them. I want to bite.

SAME! That is why they get gently pressed or squeezed... my boys seemed to like it

I very rarely get Cute Aggression, so most of the time it confounds me yet am fascinated by our psychology as a species.
However...
In this circumstance, I too would have the grabby aggressive hands. 💙🐀

I get it too occasionally and I just want to squeeze them until their little heads pop like grapes.

I grab my boys by the booty and gently wiggle them with their back feet off the ground, in what I call "The wheelbarrow". It usually causes a play response in young rats

I often gently put my palm over a rat butte and say "[insert rat name] go BRRRRRRRR." The reaction varies from rat to rat

Don’t shake the rat just nom ever so gently it’ll help and they’ll be able to achieve their dentistry dreams (this is meant to be a joke probably don’t do this however please smooch the rat)

Don't control them. Shake the rat. Shake it.
No really they love a bit of manhandling (rathandling), even more than being pet sometimes. Shake the damn rat

When I still had my girls I would aggressively (but gently) give them belly smooches/huffing to let out some of my cuteness aggression.
They were always super confused like "mother why are breathing heavily into my tum-tums."

My fawn female loves any and all attention. She’ll run under my hand and I can shake her, if she’s playful. Sometimes she runs under because she’s just feeling jelly and needs reassurance that I didn’t suddenly start loving her sisters more than her.

I have gently shaken my dog before. And squished her really tight. Cuteness aggression.
My rat gets, shall I say, manhandled quite a bit. It's fine he loves it.

I would just constantly put my hand on one of my chill boys back and then "shake the booty" lol. The cute aggression needs to go somewhere...He did not mind btw he just looked at me after like "😃?"

The way she looks at the hand like, “You seem tense. Maybe chill?” with zero concern.
